When you know nothing about guns, you should avoid proving you know nothing about guns.

You should also then avoid talking about wanting/needing/supporting more gun control laws.

Hmm, he managed to survive a whole few minutes with a gun carrier with no deaths occurring.

How can anyone but the legal gun carrier good citizen know that he isn't a bad guy? To everyone who doesn't know him, it is perfectly reasonable to consider him a potential threat.

People should be afraid of someone they don't know who is carrying a weapon. In this day and age you would be stupid to assume (s)he's safe.

That's why cops wear uniforms and carry badges.

I carry all the time. Are you afraid of me? Why do you think I'm a potential threat? That doesn't sound "perfectly reasonable" to consider me a potential threat. I didn't threaten you or draw my weapon (brandishing), yet I am armed.

Considering how many people carry concealed you have no idea if people surrounding you are armed or not; so is your response to fear everyone? How many criminals bother to obtain CCW licenses?
Then, considering CCW’er are considered to be highly law abiding by several measures you worry about legal CCW’ers, but, considering most criminals carry concealed and you have no means of detecting them, you express no concern of them?
As for your last sentence, considering if you don’t know who is carrying concealed, how can you know to be afraid of someone or not? Do you assume legally carrying a gun somehow predisposes one to become a violent criminal?

Don't be an idiot. It is a perfectly reasonable fear. If you can't see that then you have a highly warped sense of reality.

Beyond that, after a few years of reading posts by gun nuts, I wouldn't trust any gun nut with a gun. And I've been shooting since I was 8 or 10. By 12 I was a member of the NRA, But today, guns are a sick fetish, not a hobby.

If it is perfectly reasonable to fear an individual on the basis they legally own a firearm, then it is perfectly reasonable to fear an individual on the basis that they are operating a motor vehicle.

Any blanket fear has as it’s foundation a lack of knowledge and experience.

Goid grief... i feel safe around people carrying guns.

Sorry but your fear of people carrying guns is irrational.

    More people should open carry.

That is why concealed carry is the general recommendation for armed citizens. No, you don't know an armed citizen is a good guy or not. You shouldn't know he's armed, if he has prepared himself correctly.

    Not all cops wear uniforms.....

If all he does is carry a gun, and you are aware of the fact he is doing it legally, you have no reason to believe he is a bad guy.
That is, your irrational fears are irrational.
