For the same reason you can't have weapons grade plutonium or 50 cases of dynamite. These type of things have inherent dangers where as a gun does not. A gun can sit in a box for years and do nothing. The box can be opened and still nothing will happen. The gun takes someone acting upon it. Anthrax and plutonium become dangerous if their packaging is opened. Even dynamite will eventually deteriorate and become dangerous. The gun can be taken out of its packaging and can lay on a table for a thousand years and do little more than rust. Just sayin'
you mean I could buy guns in any state of the union? that my license to carry a firearm is good in all fifty states and I can get it at age 16? that I could own a firearm that has more power than anything the cops have? that I don't need to have a license for it if I only use it on private property? that the Democrat party doesn't try to ban any type of gun? those dangerous items are not self defense weapons either. sort of hard to stop someone breaking into your home with weaponized anthrax or a nuke or even a satchel charge
Again though, that nagging little issue. Cars or the right to individual private transportation are not mentioned in the Constitution.
I disagree with you on gun control being Constitutional but I think we can agree that the right to a car is not a Constitutional guarantee.
