Shooting, homicide rates soar from coast to coast
In Philadelphia over the past weekend, seven people were shot in a span of three hours, according to CNN affiliate KYW-TV. One person was killed and two others critically wounded.
Shooting incidents in Philadelphia are up 57% from last year, the station reported, citing police records. Homicides, at 201 as of Monday, were up 24% In Milwaukee, homicides have jumped 95% -- to 82 -- so far this year, according to police. In the first week of June alone, the Los Angeles Police Department reported that homicides increased 250% compared to the previous week.

New York City has seen a 44% spike in shootings this year to 511, from 355 during the same period in 2019, according to the NYPD. There have been 176 murders, which is 23% higher than last year.

For years, the most violent cities in the US have been run by democrats.

Now, because many dems are panding to violent, lawless mobs and defunding police-we see the already high levels of crime spiking even higher.

And the cherry on top-many of these cities are anti-gun and since criminals don't follow the law-the defacto result is that law abiding citizens are disarmed, while at the same time the police are unable to protect them.

All of this was predictable (crime spiked after the Freddy Gray case in Baltimore where the mayor gave mobs permission to riot, while also holding back police), but these democrats in power ignored that and now we see widespread and rapidly increasing violent crime.

It is fascinating and astounding how some otherwise halfway rational people can think that the way to calm the sharks is to throw more chum.
