I've been trying to tell everybody, Australia, Canada, and countries in Europe are going to start looking more like the US.

These are problems that pretty much never used to exist in these societies before.

In (most of) America, everyone can protect themselves with firearms.

Everywhere else, only the rich can afford such armed security.

I've had that same pistol to protect my house for years. It cost me far less than $1000.

I forgot one very important part...

Everywhere else, only the rich and criminals can afford such armed security.

The story was and is a sensationalist ratings beat up, something this particular program does on a regular basis. The 'African' crime problem among recently arrived refugee cultures is a problem in Melbourne particularity (but for some unknown reason much less of an issue in all other capital cities?) Their have been some violent crime but mostly its the usual public order and vandalism and petty theft style offenses.

It also looks like this one guy lives directly on a public pathway that funnels people down to a beach. I doubt he still has the guard because public gatherings on beaches was one of the first thing to go under the lock down.

There are certainly no queues outside Australian gun shops as residents rush to arm themselves against a rise in violent crime either. The virus lock down, apart from reducing new infections to very low levels (fingers crossed) has also reduced incidents of the type of crime this guy was worried about. So lets see if there is a follow-up story in 6 months time showing how the need for private armed guards has skyrocketed in Melbourne. I won't beholding my breath waiting.

If one cannot properly integrate into a society, perhaps they should not be allowed into that society to begin with.

So those of us who are "clean and articulate" should stay out of the hood?

There are always 'some' everywhere and in any situation. In this case there over here there have been a few bogans caught fighting over toilet paper in shopping center isles. Thankfully they are a very small minority of the population. For the most part people seem to be complying with the distancing rules etc and and the result seems to be a steady decline in infection rates - down to single figures a day in my State. Please let it continue that way.

I can defend myself with firearms, I'd just go to prison for manslaughter.

QLD Police recommend ******** your pants and vomitting in the instance of a rape in an effort to deter the rapist.

When the gang members see his mullet, they should know he means business. (In the front) and run away.

Yet a a few Australian members we have want to preach to us Americans why we need to have gun regulations like they already have in place, resulting in their own countrymen being required hire armed security for self defense.

That might be allright, for say an attorney, who pulls down a six figure income in the land of OZ, but what about the commoners, do they not deserve the ability of self defense, and self reliance, or it that only allowed for the wealthy down there?

And is that what they are pushing upon us in America.

Does this mean Concentration Camp Island isn't properly screening these folks? Australia is just one giant failure these days. Their poor Koala bears have STDs, they burned down half their wasteland country last year, and now this. The end of that hellhole is neigh...

    ACA
But why are the people like the TWONK with the baseball bat not collecting EVIDENCE instead of making the issue worse?

    This is a common issue

People, instead of doing the right thing, collecting evidence, will gripe and grizzle that “they” are not doing anything”.

It’s a pain in the arse to have to spend your off duty time documenting the bad behaviour of others BUT it is the most effective way.

If a non-law enforcement individual cannot be trusted with a firearm for their own defense, how can they be trusted to collect or even recognize what might be "evidence" without contaminating such, implicating themselves by mistake, and potentially making the entire situation worse?

Not at all. Trolling would be saying something like 'an island full of criminal decedents is now importing criminals, to what end?'. Everything I stated in my post is factually correct, if you can't dispute that you should probably stop whining...

    So.. you can categorically prove that ;
    1) Australia is a 'concentration camp Island'
    2) Australia is also a 'giant failure'
    3) We 'burned down half our country' i.e. deliberately or as a result of negligence.
    4) and last but not least 'our end is nigh'

You'll notice I left out the bit about Koala's suffering fro an STD (a strain of Chlamydia). That much is true, lots of animals do. In fact so do lots of Americans - and Kola's don't have access to medical services as a matter of course so its hardly their fault they don't get treatment is it? Oh sorry I forgot neither do lots of Americans.

So now go on. Prove points 1 to 4. I await with (not) baited breath Einstein your brilliant 'fact based' analysis of these points.
