?

Do you believe a magnetic polar shift could occur soon?

  1. Yes.... and the 2030 concern by Graham Hancock makes sense!

Dr. Albert Einstein took The HAB Theory very seriously:

If you look at the diagrams at the beginning of this article it is easy to see that an earthquake or tsunami or any number of things could initiate rapid cracking and sliding of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.

So much of its foundation is below sea level.... that it is especially vulnerable to collapse.

Graham Hancock verified the statistic regarding how much ice is being added to Antarctica each year:

.... This brings us to an alternative theory on how best to begin to stabilize the climate put forward by a New Mexico biologist and coach:

And if you think that this cannot be done.... take a look at:

I never said there wasn't climate change, just that you would die horribly for reasons other than carbon dioxide.

How many times has a planetary magnetic pole reversal already happened in Earth's history?

In any of those dozens of previous reversals, did it significantly affect the nature of the fossils found from before / after?

If magnetic pole reversal occurred in the past without mankind using oil and AGW, clearly it can be caused by things other than mankind. So why would anyone think that mankind's activities are the only, or even a significant cause of any magnetic pole reversal about to happen now?

While doing the job a screaming "The Sky is Falling! The Sky is Falling!" about a new flavor of Chicken Little Hysteria, why don't we add to the mix, the idea of the weight of melted Ice changing the pressure exerted on the tectonic plates setting off world wide sudden volcanoes!

In the Poll Question, you list the issue of the question as "Magnetic Pole" reversal.

Yet the HAB theory is about spinning mass wobble?

Which is it, Magnetic Fields, or Spinning Mass?

You do realize that the two are different, and not necessarily linked?

    Ooooohhhh, Oooooohhhh!

While we're at it, we can go into the ions of the solar wind radiation cooking everyone as the Magnetosphere changes!

Surely this new SciFi Channel series of Global Disaster Movie Theories is worth spending at least a couple of Trillion Dollars!

It is far more people, of far more political and intellectual viewpoints, than JUST CONSERVATIVES, that find the OPs kind of psuedo-science fear mongering distasteful and destructive!

Or is it that now, in the OP's mind, you define CONSERVATIVE as anyone who disagrees with AGW?

Just like another camp of biased Liberals defines Racists as anyone belonging to the TEA Party!

The fact is that anyone who takes Science, and the Scientific Method, Scientific Integrity, and Scientific Public Service, seriously, finds this kind of Psuedo-Science propaganda the Antithesis of their core values and careers!

    Plants love carbon dioxide!!!!!

.... Dr. Bjorn Lomborg does have a good point in his skepticism of how quickly a carbon tax might actually work????!!!!

    - - - Updated - - -

Dr. Albert Einstein's friend Immanuel Velikovsky..... if I remember correctly.... stated that 171 major magnetic polar shifts had occurred over the last five million years or so!

Excellent question.... I was going for a minimalist approach.... because anybody who will take a look at the diagrams at the top of this article.....would realize that very very very little wobble or shift would be required to start serious cracking and sliding on the WAIS!!!!!!

    Yes, I know.

I've read up a bit on the dynamics of both Magnetospheres, and their stellar radiation shielding effects, and on large scale spinning mass wobble.

I'm working on creating a Scifi edutainment computer game/simulation, which is heavily involved in orbital habitats which simulate gravity via rotation.

In the process of defining C# classes for storing a model for generic Scifi planets including a model of their fictional, exotic, extra-terrestrial atmosphere's, I've been spending allot of time reading up on Earth's known details, as a baseline.

It is Game Fiction, but designed to be educational in Science and Mathematics. I need to get the science right, down to levels of accuracy which will mollify critics, but still allow fun projections of what types of exotic worlds we might encounter, if we ever get out of the solar system.

When I saw the HAB theory, in the title of the thread, it caught my interest, but when I saw the Poll question talking about Magnetic Pole reversal, and knew that the two were very different things, only having the Pole in common, it set my teeth on edge!

I firmly believe that Semi-reality Science Fiction projects could play a significant role in altering the world economy....... especially if they are combined with organized barter currencies similar to The Ithaca Hour or CalgaryDollars.ca/

My apologies for setting your teeth on edge...Â… I did not finish my business degree and am merely a janitor at a school... but I had bleeding ulcers and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as a teenager... so I got into the habit of reading a lot........ and I get myself into topics...Â… that I probably have no business to be into.....but by saying something stupid.... and later apologizing when somebody proves me wrong........ I get people thinking about subjects that they normally don't get into!!!!!????

For the record........ although she is flawed like all of us....... I got the impression during her 2008 campaign in my area... Central Nova... that Canada's Green Party Leader Ms. Elizabeth May is for real.... and genuinely wishes to make this planet a safer place for all seven billion humans as well as for animals and even plants.

I actually voted for her........... which is one of the only two times that I voted for somebody other than M. P. Peter MacKay who I am impressed with...… in spite of the fact that he did not join Canada's Liberal Party.... Oh well.... maybe by being nice to him.... we can convince him to walk across the floor one of these days??????!!!!!

Ms. May sent me a personal reply to my 2008 campaign writing:
    .bankingsystemsflaws.blogspot.ca/

She agreed that investment in turning deserts green was one part of a full response to climate change and also agreed that film projects could play a significant role in stimulating the economy of Central Nova!

We can STOP GLOBAL WARMING and we can keep our school!

    September 15, 2008

Dear residents of Indian Harbour Lake, Sonora and Wine Harbour: I am campaigning for the office of Municipal Councilor for St. Mary's District 4.

There are three primary threats to the quality of life for all of us who live here. High unemployment will probably force most of our young people to move far away to find jobs. Because of government cut backs St. Mary's Educational Centre may be closed as early as 2011. In the near future record high tides may devastate our roads and homes that are only a few feet above sea level. We are being told that there is little that you and I can do about any of these problems but this is simply not true.

Satellite pictures show rapid melting of Arctic ice but only about ten percent is above water level. Ice occupies more space than liquid water so until now we have experienced rather little ocean level rise. Our situation will be entirely different if and when melting occurs in the massive ice pack on Greenland and Antarctica that sit on land.

I am in agreement with environmentalist and economist Bjorn Lomborg that a carbon shift policy will probably be ineffective over the short term in combating global temperature increases or in preventing a destructive rise in world ocean levels.

Two effective methods to combat global warming and simultaneously fight rising ocean levels have been proposed by New Mexico biologist Carl Cantrell.

Another promising method to green the deserts is to use hydrogen fuel cell technology to power vehicles in the hottest and driest regions of the earth. Imagine millions of vehicles across the Sahara, the Middle East, near the US Mojave desert and in the outback of Australia all spewing harmless water vapor as exhaust! Rest assured humidity and rainfall will increase in those areas and vegetation will grow.

Last week I wrote a lengthy e-mail to Green Party Leader Elizabeth May. "Ms. May, if you owned a large apartment building and your tenants complained that the rooms were too warm would you listen to the advice of the contractor who was telling you to rip all the insulation out of the walls of this structure?"

"I don't think that you would because your article indicates that you have a phenomenal intellect and listening to this probably self-interested contractor would be incredibly unwise!"

"Combating global warming by first getting rid of CO2 is comparable to tearing the insulation out of this hypothetical building. CO2 is not a pollutant. Plants love this compound and some people even seem to feel that the recent greening in some parts of the Sahara Desert is partly attributable to increased levels of CO2. I tend to strongly agree with them in this assertion."

"Several days ago Mr. Charles Moore informed me that Canada produces roughly only 2.5 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Our nation could invest billions of dollars into reducing our carbon footprint and yet all this would have essentially zero effect on the global environment if China and India did not take similar measures.... besides....CO2 IS NOT A POLLUTANT... PLANTS LIVE ON IT AND RISING WORLD OCEAN LEVELS ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY THE GREATEST MOST IMMEDIATE THREAT POSED BY GLOBAL WARMING TO EVERY COASTAL COMMUNITY!!!!!!!!! (E-mail, September 11, 2008)

Ms. May deserves credit for encouraging Canadian political leaders to take environmental issues more seriously but at this time I feel that she has far too much confidence in the proposals put forward at Kyoto. The skepticism that Prime Minister Harper had for this accord seems to have been based on sound reasoning. Liberal Leader Stephane Dion was wise to hope for more time to further study this complex subject before an election.

You would be astonished how many of our political leaders do not understand the tremendous benefits of historical Canadian monetary policy.

    http://www.michaeljournal.org/appenB.htm

We can encourage our federal and provincial level officials to re-enact wise monetary policy such as Prime Minister Mackenzie King did in 1940 by organizing a local film production cooperatives or company. Due to our proximity to the ocean we should all be highly motivated to produce films and effectively use the media to educate individuals and politicians all across Canada through YouTube.com. Time is limited if we hope to stimulate our economy, save our elementary school and prevent the loss of our roads and homes to the threat of rising ocean levels.

We have been told that we are almost helpless before these massive problems but what did the author of Genesis say about human capability for either evil or good if we unite on a common goal:

"And the LORD said, Behold, the people [is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do." (Genesis 11)

Can we visualize extensively using hydrogen fuel cell cars in California, Nevada, New Mexico, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Australia and Kuwait?
"And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water." (Isaiah 35)

Please also take a look at my campaign writings from 2004 and 2006:
    www.bankingsystemflaws.blogspot.com/

If you elect me as your Municipal Councillor on October 18 I will try my best to promote effective solutions to our greatest problems to all who will listen.

Thank you for your considering of this information and for your support.

    Kind regards.

    Dennis Tate

A few notes on "Climate Change"

1] Scientifically, the only thing we know for sure, is that constant change has been the norm for all of Earth's history.

2] Since change has always occurred, and humans have only been using hydrocarbon energy technology for a few hundred years, there must be sources of climate change beyond what humans, and their hydrocarbon energy technology, and its subsequent CO2 release, creates.

3] We cannot eliminate, or even significantly control what humans do which as a side effect of creating CO2, anymore than we can stop breathing, or stop population growth.

About the only thing any government could do to significantly alter those activities, is to deliberately create a fatal pandemic! While there are Radical
Greens who think such would be a "Solution", most humans are not crazy.

The global climate and its changes is simply attribute that is beyond Human Moral Action Control.

4] Even if we could control our contributions, the change will just keep happening, responding to the other drivers of climate change, just as it always has done.

Therefore, we could commit absolutely immoral acts, to try to control the global climate, only to find that it does little. Even a casual examination will show that is beyond human control!

5] There is plenty of scientific evidence that while CO2 levels, and the "Green House Effect" are a contributor to the global climate, it is not the most significant factor, or the driver with the largest variance.

6] There is also plenty of scientific evidence that CO2 is not the most significant "Green House Gas", and that human activity is not the most significant source of what CO2 is being created.

7] There are other significant threats to human survival, which we COULD do something real to combat, such as large meteorite impacts, fatal pandemics, and GMO contamination accidents.

We would be far better off spending what limited resources we have for such effort in areas that might actually make a difference.

8] Whenever we review anthropomorphic global warming climate change (AGW) claims and demands for action, it always just happens to turn out that the direly needed immediate action, just happens to give Greens/Liberals/Progressives Trillions of Dollars, and total control over everyone's lives.

Anyone who has study human nature understands that: power(money) corrupts in proportion to its measure!

People who study Business Management, Government, and Political Science, understand this, and know that good leadership does not assign activists to address the problem!

The conflict of interest potential at the very least would mean that IF we ever decided to do any such actions, we would need to completely ban any person of the Liberal persuasion from having any involvement in the action.

The only people we could trust to safely, and neutrally carry out such actions, would be those who were against the idea from the very beginning.

For the sake of preventing corruption, and acting in a way which results in actual benefit to mankind, the very people calling for a response to AGW, have to be completely blocked from being involved in any action taken to control it!

9] Mankind has faced Global Climate Change in the past, and those stone age humans survived to pass their genes down to us. They accomplished that feat by adapting, not controlling!

But.... since Muslims, Jews and Christians seem to be in agreement about deserts becoming green in the "latter days" there is tremendous potential for this topic to be one of the few subjects that we agree on....... that really has potential to bring us together......... there are serious bucks at stake here!!!!!!!!!!!

Please let us know when your new game/simulation is available, Professor. To put it most unscientifically, it appears that the Earth flips and flops around ever so often anyway, and doesn't depend on a factor like carbon dioxide (which makes up less than 0.04% of the Earth's atmosphere) to do it.

When was the last time our planet underwent one of these gymnastic maneuvers? No one knows. It must have been thousands and thousands of years ago, and thus, LONG before anybody had made up phrases like, "global warming".... :roflol:

Actually........... if alien life forms are involved in human evolution......… it is theoretically possible that they might have set up the earth in such a way that a layer of water in the atmosphere..... might have prevented a polar flip/wobble.... whatever...… from the time of a possibly genetically modified Adam/Eve to what some mystics refer to as the deluge of Noah???!!!

I mean if Richard Dawkins Ph. D. will not dogmatically rule out the possible interference of aliens in human history and/or evolution.... then who the hell am I to do so??????!!!!

I personally am now wide open to this possibility...... but I sure wasn't ready for the idea until I read this part of the NDE account of Christian Andreason:

Funny thing: magnetic poles shift all the time. I think looking at them more would he'll to explain a lot of the changes going on today. I've had friends who went to northern Sweden (the Arctic circle), and they said it was just like winter in MN, no big deal. Well, that makes sense, when you understand that a couple centuries ago the m angelic north Pole was in Norway and it's now in Canada.

I had two rather negative reactions over the past twenty years to medications. I so do NOT want to end up in an alzheimers ward on BigPharma products!!!!!!??? (I had a hernia operation in June of 2013 and I would not recommend hydromorphone to anybody for pain relief!!!!???

A buddy of mine who had a terrible back injury back in '78 had a nasty reaction to it as well. He found out that it was one of the cheaper synthetic pain medications..... his doctor gave him natural morphine and he had no negative reaction to it at all!!!!!!!?????
