The only reason the southern border is being made an issue is because the GQP needs some kind of issue to bang on about that will get their base -- you -- excited, fearful and angry, and it seems nothing does that more effectively than telling them -- you -- that brown people are flowing into the country and being welcomed by Democrats to stay and take away awesome minimum wage jobs, collect welfare and vote Democrat, no matter how distorted and untrue such claims actually are.

 

If you admitted that 1.5 million have been deported, then it would be awful hard to argue the border is open without looking like a fool.

Well, the GOP lawmakers started telling everyone one that the border is open. That's what this thread is about. If you tell them the border is open, they will come. How many have been deported? I believe there have been about 100 Haitians sent home while 30,000 more await crossing in Mexico. Do you have any credible numbers on how many have been deported? i can tell you that the border patrol doesn't think it is very many at all.
