I asked where the relatives get their information. If they snuck into the country they must see TV where they see politicians like Cruz screaming "the border is open, the border is open".

 

They get it from personal experience. They know what conditions are at the border better than you do.

The Democrats attacked Trump over the border for 4 years and created sanctuary cities to protect illegals. Then we had the debates (Offering free health care etc) and ending the wall etc. Spending millions to put illegals into hotels and busing people in. The Democrats even wanted to decriminalize the border.

Democrats and left leaning independents like you know exactly what all of that sends as a message. This is a desperate attempt to try and place the blame on the other party because that sounds better than admitting the Democrats have caused this mess.

I say it's open borders because I see open borders every time I read a bus was filled with illegals to set free somewhere in America.

The border Patrol even warned Biden these people were coming and were told to stand down and do nothing. The Democrats are also asking these illegals be let into the country.

Not defending Democrats. I am saying two things
1. The border cannot be open if we are deporting 1+ million people. To claim border is open is dishonest BS
2. To declare to the whole world that the border is open makes the situation WORSE. The Haitian people admitted that they thought the border was open. One of the Republican voters here admitted that the GOP does it to get votes for the next election, and that it so obviously true

Do you think its helpful, or harmful to tell them the border is open? I dont know how anyone can argue that is might somehow help.

If some illegals come because of something Biden said on the campaign trail, then thats no Biden, but by now he had repeatedly told them to not come and that they will be turned back, while GOP reps keep saying the border is open.

Two things:
1. Never said its their fault per se, but repeatedly claiming in public that the border is open is not helping. It encourages people to come. Do you want to resolve the problem? How about we start by stopping making it worse.
2. Never called him deporter in chief, but if record number has been deported this year, then its pretty dishonest to claim the border is open.
