    We are still the America that broke away from Britain and the majority of Americans still believe in the vision of the founding fathers and our Constitution. This is what America is really about and those who believe that are real Americans. All others are malcontents and miscreants who benefit from all of the blessings of liberty but condemn our beloved republic and disparage it in an endless rant. What they do is not resistance nor rebellion against tyranny, nor patriotic but seditious and insurgent in the name of some ridiculous utopian ideal. They are sold on this fantasy and have unwittingly but willingly volunteered to aid those who wish to destroy America.

    The United States of America is the greatest country to ever exist. As a nation it shared that distinction until late in the twentieth century. It was then that a foreign influence successfully infiltrated our society and began a campaign of misinformation and agitation targeting our youth and weak minded adults. At first this was not well received but these foreign agents were persistent and well resourced. This resulted in radicalizing heretofore normally loyal Americans who had been catechized, proselytized, indoctrinated and convinced that America was intrinsically evil. They were told that America was imperialistic and determined to enslave the world using our own social flaws as examples of our intent. These agents manipulated the truth about everything America was involved in around the world and at home. Incrementally and over time the seeds of this great deception have grown into a narrative that still appeals to youth and some adults.

    Three generations in there are fewer people who remember the truth but there’s still more of us than there are of those that don’t and cannot and will not be silenced. The damage of the past five plus decades is considerable but by 2016 America had, had enough. Real Americans were sickened by the constant attacks on our morality, our religion, our history, our normalcy. We were sickened by the shockingly crude excesses of popular culture and the attempts to erase all that is moral, wholesome and good. We were sickened by the ghoulish for profit industry of abortion. We were sickened by the wholesale destruction of American lives under the political thumb of public assistance and entitlements. We were sickened by the politicization and dilution of our educational system. We were sickened by the development, the marketing and normalization of a cornucopia of sexual perversions. We were sickened by the tearing down of institutions like marriage and marginalizing the sanctity of it’s true meaning and purpose. We were sickened by the political attempt to dilute our divided nation even further by flooding America with unvetted foreign criminals, parasites and vermin. Our immigration laws were not created just to keep these undesirables out but to protect the purpose of immigration and that is to import quality people who will benefit the country. America philanthropy must remain outside of our borders, importing poverty and all it’s attendant problems is suicidal, our largesse is limited and is already severely tested by the crisis that exists at our southern border. Real Americans are onto the left’s game and it is over.

    We will always be that shining city on a hill, we will always be a sovereign nation, indivisible, lawful and moral. We will expose the left at every turn and we will snuff it out. The left assumes that they can wait us out, that we will age out but they’re wrong, we’re grooming a new generation by home schooling and within our churches and any other place beyond the reach of their influence. We will always be America.

    Saw this on Facebook a couple years ago.

    “So it's Independence Day. When T. Jefferson wrote "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal,that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness" there's no way he could have known the consequences of putting these words into practice.

    When the motley assortment of colonists made good on Jefferson's words, for the first time in history the creative and constructive power of the human race was unleashed. In the pursuit of happiness, men and women from all corners of the earth took full advantage of the liberty to acquire property and use it as they saw fit.

    The result? Steamboats, plows, religious freedom, sewing machines, electric light, the telegraph, telephone, John Browning's 1911, air conditioning, human flight, free speech, Coca Cola, assembly line produced automobiles, rock 'n roll, chocolate chip cookies, microwave ovens, solar cells, fiber optic cable, LEDs, lasers, computers, GPS, cell phones and devices we can't yet imagine.

    While all this was happening those colonists rescued Europe from despotism twice in less than 40 years, the whole world at least once, and slowed the growth of their antithesis communism to a crawl. They rebuilt entire countries, and true to their belief in self determination, they kept nothing for themselves.
    Today, we, the descendants of those colonists, lead the world in charitable giving.

    All this was possible because of freedom. On this Fourth of July holiday I challenge everyone to do some critical thinking, comparing the previous paragraphs to places in this world where freedoms are restricted. Then ask yourselves why going forward as a country we would give up any of our freedoms for any reason.

    Have fun and try not to burn anything down with those pyrotechnics...”

    That's a lot of words and platidudes with no objective meaning or reference. If you believe the Christian right is the salvation of America, I'm sorry to inform you, it will be her downfall. It's not the Left who will kill individual rights and capitalism, and thereby liberty and prosperity, it is the Religious Right, or more broadly, it's the men of faith who will murder liberty, not the men of the intellect.

    The charity is secondary, it is the wealth production that makes it possible. And you're right, free men need free minds, and a government to protect that freedom.

    That is the way that I see it. In college, in an American History class, in an essay I had to write for the final exam, I made just that observation. That the US had grown and it was time to break free from mom, and spread its own wings. I framed my essay along those lines. After all, the United States is basically the next evolutionary step from where England was. It was mostly English philosophers, Mills, Locke, and others, English political tradition, upper and lower Houses, English common law, the Magna Carta.... that birthed the ideas that became the United States.

    Just so you know, most of the inventions listed below where invented by freethinkers, as were Jefferson and Lincoln. Left leaning, god disbelieving, freethinkers. If it wasn't for all those evil hedonistic liberals, there would be no computers, no internet, no cell phones, no electricity. You would not be able to come here and tell us how much you don't like us from a most distorted point of view.

    You are looking at it from the human point of view. There is school of thought in historical and political circles that looks at countries as if they were persons, metaphorically. Thus, the behavior of individuals really don't matter. What matters is the behavior of countries as independent entities. By viewing the world in this manner one can see that countries tend to mature and age with many of the same types of growing pains that people have. One can even make the argument that the US is currently having a midlife crisis. Trump is a bit like that old sports car you always wanted. Until you bought it and found out it was dog. It smoked badly, took half an hour to warm up, and was constantly breaking down. It is time to get past that stage and buy something more reasonable for the times, something like a Tesla. It is actually faster and much more reliable.

    The US constitution was a counterrevolution initiated by a cabal of aristocrats intent on consolidating their own wealth and power. The only reason the US constitution even has a bill of rights is because the so-called "anti-federalists" insisted on its inclusion.

    Hmmm. Must be a different Declaration of Independence or an alternate universe. I wouldn't call landowners, craftsmen, farmers, merchants, and artisans a cabal of aristocrats; but having gone to college, I do recognize the standard Progressive drivel. As an aside, a question: If you don't have the right to the money you've earned, what's the point in earning it? If the life you create for yourself belongs to state to do with as it pleases, what's the joy, or for that matter, the point, in living?

    By anti-Federalists you mean that coalition that became known as the Jeffersonians.

    In the lead up to the drafting of the constitution, Jefferson's opponents conspired to get Jefferson appointed as ambassador to France - at the time, the highest diplomatic post, essentially America's foreign minister. The post had previously been held by Franklin. A post that Jefferson was very willing to take, as it allowed him to travel Europe and meet with foreign leaders, and leading intellectuals. However, as the deliberations were underway, Jefferson was on the other side of the ocean. Had he been in America, because of his oversized personality, the constitution would have taken a different turn. From the beginning he insisted on a bill of rights. The first amendment was clearly Jefferson inspired, if not written.

    The problem lies in the delusion that America was created as a God-fearing Christian nation. And the problem with delusions is that the deluded, in some cases, angrily reach for a gun when you point out their delusions to them. In the Religious Right's case, that would be the government's gun, which they wish to use to punish those violating God's laws. Dangerous times, indeed.

    As a liberal, I ascribe more to Jefferson's egalitarianism. Or is it that I am a liberal because I ascribe to Jefferson's egalitarianism?

    Just to clarify, it will be the Left that provides the spark, i.e., their rejection of objectivity and morality, that will light the fuse that explodes the Religious Right into civil war, and ultimately, open revolution.

    What do you think? King George laughing from the grave? Following Trumps led while crucifying him? Imagine a couple of days before Independence Day, a government official warning dissidents of prosecution for mocking the government. At least Putin has to be smirking.
