    I was heading up north on 65 I think now I’ll just be able to blow through Atlanta at 110 mile an hour.

    I'll be shocked if there isnt a wave of retirements, but I suspect the savvy ones will burn through all their sick time and vacation time first while making other plans.

    This is a set up. It isn’t to get rid of cops, it’s to create a climate where nationalization of police forces will be acceptable.

    I don’t see how that would work out. It’s not in constitution and the federal government does not have criminal laws that states have.

    A buddy of mine is a Boulder county deputy. He and many of his deputies are walking out. I say all officers and corrections officers should take the next couple of weeks off if not permanently. Let anarchy rule the day for a while and lets see how people view law enforcement.

    I'm currently fortifying my place for the ensuing **** storm about to take place.

    That is unconstitutional as a federal paramilitary force would be considered a standing army.

    If that happens, it won't be pretty as we haven't had all the special training.. if we see a threatening jack a nape.. we;ll just give them a permanent dirt nap.. no worrying about them getting out of jail (or not going at all) and giving us a surprise visit of retribution.

    It likely won’t be immediate takeover of departments. It will be similar to what the Obama administration did. Supply funding to departments and leverage that support to facilitate consent decrees.

    We do end runs around the constitution all the time. We did it with the ACA.

    Bottom line is these people are full on authoritarians. You know they don’t want a society without force, even lethal force. They just want it to be administered by powers they choose to rule them.

    Since when does the Constitution mean anything to such people? There is always a way around the Constitution. Once an entity becomes dependent on federal funding it can and will be controlled by fiat. Trump is doing it now. Obama did before him. Eventually there will be a de facto federal police force.
