    Why aren't any Europeans weighing in? Some good cars over there.

    While stationed overseas, many years ago, we had the pleasure of driving an old French model.

    What fun it was, esp mingling with the French, who seems to have their own rules on the road.

    Now, its Caddy or bust.

    I always considerd a love of cars to be pretty much a guy thing - until I bought my 4WD Jeep Cherokee in the 1990s. I could go anywhere with it, and the car never broke down. I put more than 150,000 miles on that car and all I ever had to do besides regular maintenance was have the brakes done. It was by far the best vehicle I've ever had. I liked it so much that I would have kept it for many more hundreds of thousands of miles, doing whatever it took to keep it going since it had been such a faithful, reliable friend. That is until....

    One morning I was driving to work when I lost control and the car went head-first into a concrete wall beside the interstate I was exiting. I had never lost control before, and the paramedic conjectured that I had hit an oil slick that the drizzling rain that morning had brought to the surface. I came out of it with a broken nose, while my beloved Jeep was totaled. :(

    When my insurance company told me they weren't going to repair my Jeep, that it was being totaled, I found out what it was like to care for a car so much. When I went to the lot to empty my personal items from the car, I grieved as for a beloved friend.

    I had never liked a car so much that I wanted to buy the same model again, but I liked my Jeep Cherokee enough to do that. Unfortunately, I learned that they had quit making that model, so I couldn't replace it. I won't buy another used car due to terrible luck with them, so I bought a 4WD Jeep Liberty. It is just OK, but I don't think I'll ever find another car that means as much to me as my wonderful red Jeep Cherokee did.

    The first vehicle I ever owned;

    This isn't a picture of mine, but it's almost identical...down to the color, lifted stance, big tires, no rear bumper, and rust spots.

    98 z28 camaro it came with a stock 305hp ls1 engine but made an engine swap for a more powerful engine and had to replace the hood, it was expensive around 8k excluding labor

    it is garaged now due to oil issues and a broken push rod, will rebuild the engine soon
