I've been looking for a civil, well moderated political forum for awhile now and this seems to be the best bet currently. I am a master's degree candidate at the University of North Carolina. I lean pretty far left, however, I am much more interested in political solutions than political victories. I appreciate dialogue with conservatives as an opportunity to learn so long as such dialogue does not devolve in to personal attacks or irrationality. Let's hope this forum is different.

Yeah, I was 3 years old living in Charlotte when Hugo hit. That was a category 1 apparently. Irene is looking to be a category 2. Scary stuff.
