Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of...

But really, hello everyone. I'm new to the forum, and really, new to a political view. Well, I've always had my views and beliefs, but I never game them a name. Voting has never been important because no president elect has ever moved me. However, this is something I would like to remedy. I am trying to get involved, but still it is difficult. I have no idea who to vote for in the coming election, because my opinions are not one side or the other. But there is no denying that the US is in unrest, and I have lost faith in the current leadership. Yet I do not feel that the replacement for the current leadership would be any better, and could possibly lead us down a road that I would not like.

Anyway, it's good to be here, and hopefully I will be able to learn something.
    See y'all around!

Welcome to this forum. I think that you'll both be able to openly express your views and learn a few things in the process. I know that I have.

You're far from alone in not being particularly enthusiastic about either of the major political candidates. I know that I've lived through a number of US presidential elections and looked for the block that says "None of the above."
This year is no different so I'll probably hold my nose and vote for the individual who is most likely to do the least harm.

At any rate, I look forward to reading your views even if they conflict with mine since I feel that it is entirely possible to differ in opinions and do so with respect & civility.

    Best wishes...

    Andrew,

Welcome. I hope to learn more about your beliefs and that we can discuss what informs your judgments about the upcoming election. I myself am new here, as many message boards online are, well, message boards online. It's hard to find meaningful conversation on the internet lately, so I hope we will have it here.

I like the way that you view this present situation.

I am both optimistic and hopeful that 2021 will be the best year in modern USA history but....... I am worried the the results of the election could potentially mess that all up???
