We have "Transiphobia.--disapproval or adverse reaction to transexuals. I'm transphobic by the way. :)
We have "Homophobia.--disapproval or adverse reaction to homosexual behavior. I'm homophobic I suppose as well. :)
We have misogynist-hatred of women. I'm not that :)
Can't leave out misopedic--hatred of children. That is pretty prevalent in my opinion. I car for kids.

But what is disapproval--hatred of--shacking up? I don't think we have term for that yet....a couple deciding they don't know enough about each other to commit in marriage---but they want to play house and have sex and move in together so that sex is convenient.

    Shackophobia?

    lol @ shackophobia.

I dunno. That's a tough one you have to look at the Latin/Greek root words for things like 'moving in together when you barely know each other' and of course place phobia on the end of it.

I have no clue what that word would be. To the thesaurus!

EDIT 1: Maybe it would be a word more similar to 'out of wedlock'?

EDIT 2: Hmm...I'm getting closer. Fornication means to have sex out of wedlock.

EDIT 3: Wow, came across this known as the Free Love movement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_love

Why would a person want to marry someone they've never been intimate with? That'd be like purchasing a car without test driving it first. I mean if people were just a 'commodity' and marrying 1 person is no different than marrying another, that'd be 1 thing. But if you're looking for a real relationship then you won't want to just sign your soul over to someone like that w/o knowing them first.

I'd say the that view is a little archaic, and I think it originated for the purpose of authoritarian control in ancient cultures, more than it was ever about love or relationships. Not to mention that people are more likely to stay in abusive or exploitative relationships if they just marry the 1st person they have sex with - since they don't really have any other relationship experience to compare it to, they're more likely to just accept the abuse as 'normal'.

    lol

Not really, I don't recall ever saying I believe that any sex outside of marriage is immoral. I'm not a 'fundamentalist' Christian.
