"It" has not changed much at all...certainly it has not mutated to a less deadly form.

We have gotten better at treatment and mitigation (no thanks to people like you)

Yes. Children are at extremely low risk of serious illness from the virus, and studies indicate that they don't transfer the virus to adults at the same rate as adult-to-adult transmission. Teachers under 60 years old are at low risk. Teachers over 60 years should have positions where they can teach remote courses.

People at high risk of becoming severely ill shouldn't be going to crowded bars until we have either natural herd immunity or a vaccine. They also need to keep a distance from people who are socially more active in general. We are not going to stop 20-40 year olds from socializing no matter how many "mandates" the overlords put in place.

I know you hate the idea that 100% of people should not suffer in order to protect the tiny percent of the aged and compromised population who are at higher risk of dying (from Covid or any other infection). We can protect that small percent of people and let everyone else carry on with their lives.

We will just have to disagree.

    That's gonna require a link

I guess you missed the 28 year old teacher that died the other day

And oh yea...if the virus is raging through ANY segment of the population...it "leaks" into every part

"People like you." LOL You mean people "like me" who live alone, work in a private office with one other person who has a private office and our offices are separated by a large breakroom? People "like me" who pays attention to 6ft social distance, washes my hands, and wears a mask out in public as required by law?

People like me are responsible for spreading the virus. :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:

Trump also put out a video Wednesday from the White House saying that a vaccine would be ready soon after the election. “We’re going to have a great vaccine very, very shortly. I think we should have it before the election, but frankly the politics gets involved and that’s okay, they want to play their games, it’s going to be right after the election,” Trump said.

Yea I know..it was just Trump yakking

    Implementable?

Herd immunity is a natural biological process. It is NOT the result of government policy. It plays in all herd animals, including those without governments.

Actually it requires doing nothing. And doing nothing IS the policy of the Trump Admin

Oh and by the way, there is a disease affecting deer in the Hudson Valley in NY

Those deer are in the process of getting herd immunity.

The smell of rotting deer carcasses is pretty horrendous

Several times, Trump tried to normalize/insignify our current 200K + death toll with his “Had we done nothing” statement.

Thus, what is “Had we done nothing”, a natural process?

Frankly sir, I don't and never have given a good ******n what Donald Trump has said.

Herd immunity is a natural biological process. Neither Trump nor Biden nor Fauci have any control whatsoever over that natural process.

That natural process led to around 35 million deaths (2% of the world population) to die at the beginning of the last century

Darwin never commented on herd immunity, but he did recognize that the strong survive as the weak perish. C'est la vie.

Herd immunity is a natural process that has allowed herds of all sorts to learn to live with virus of all sorts. Man has no control over the process, though it is possible for efficient vaccines to accelerate the process.

Like I said...the deer in my area are in the process of dealing with herd immunity from some kind of disease...and the rotting corpses is really becoming an issue

Perhaps you should mandate deer social distancing. :)
