    https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/10/politics/steve-bullock-senate-democrats/index.html'

This decision by Steve Bullock "puts Montana in play," according to RollCall, for the Democrats and provides another viable option for retaking control of the Senate.

RollCall currently has three Senate Seats as Toss Up (Colorado, North Carolina, and Arizona), one Senate Seats as Tilt (Maine) and four Senate Seats as Lean (Michigan, Montana, Iowa, Alabama, and Kansas). They rate Georgia's Loeffler Seat as "Likely."

By way of comparison, Cook's Political Report rates four Senate Seats as Toss Up (Colorado, North Carolina, Arizona, and Maine), five Senate Seats as Lean (Alabama, Michigan, Georgia, Montana, and Kansas). Note: they do not have a "tilt" category. They also rate Iowa's Ernst Seat as "Likely."

Assuming that Alabama does switch to Republicans, Democrats will need to flip four seats (and win the Presidency) or they could flip five seats to take control.

The fact that Joni Ernst and Susan Collins have seen their approval ratings crater recently also bodes well for Democrats.

Democrats liked the 2016 landscape too. How'd that work out?

Translation.... Yep, you got me, but forget about that.. I'll just say that you didn't respond appropriately to cover over that part....

Wait until Bernie is your nominee. Then get back to us...

Trumpists are still living in the Last Decade.

It is very sad that they don't see the writing on the wall.
    That Biden WILL Win.

Nov. 3rd is going to be a Long Night for Them.

Over optimistic daydreaming is relevant. Particularly when the DNC appears to have no platform besides 'orange man bad'...

    So what?

Trump has been so horrible for America, that is all that they need.

I sure hope so. If the momentum and movement turns Washington more bluish, and Trump is killed off by the voters, a couple of these moderate republicans will start breaking ranks with Mitch a little more often than they do even if we don't have that 51st vote in the caucus room.

if Collins eeks out a victory by the skin of those yellowing teeth, she's going to wear violet blue suits more often than pink suits to work.

When folks see the communist on the top of the democratic ticket, it is likely not to matter who is down ballot of him, and folks will likely flee is terror....

What you think is relevant and what's actually relevant are two different things. Pointing out the fact you folks haven't changed a bit in four years while accomplishing nothing in DC really doesn't bode well, much less create an environment for optimism...

    Ugh. FFS man.

First, neither Biden nor Bernie are communists.

Second, the fact that Biden is the most likely nominee and because Bullock would appear next to him instead of the more progressive Bernie candidate is explicitly mentioned in the article as a reason why he probably chose to run.

You explicitly choose to forget the most recent election where Democrats won in a landslide, then choose to intentionally ignore the fact that those House democrats managed to pass the only significant piece of legislation regarding ethics, healthcare costs, trade, economics, and are the ones offering a defensible response to the coronavirus outbreak while also holding Trump accountable.

And you are STILL not contributing in the slightest to the topic of THIS thread.

Um Biden is winning even with real delegates now... and superdelegates won't help Sanders. Maybe there's some upcoming states you think will switch who is winning?

I dunno, Biden would certainly do better amongst the deplorables and moderates than Sanders, but will the real liberals stay home? Unless both Trump and Pence die of coronavirus and are replaced by some moderate republican, unlikely.

Nope. Biden is a traditional liberal democrats, prone to all kinds of autocratic ideas, and Bernie is a communist. I know, he "prefers" Socialist Democrat, but it amounts to the same thing. Folks aren't misreading Bernie. He is a Trotskyite, and always has been. He's supported other "socialist democrats:... you know, like Castro, and Chavez, and mused about how the Soviet got it wrong, if only they'd been more communist like he is..

Try the semantics BS for a while, but folks are going to see exactly what Bernie is. His time has come, and his repudiation with it.

How badly did Biden get beat in CA again? Anywhere Biden is winning is a state Trump will likely take. Then what?

I agree that Alabama, Jones guilty vote doomed what slim chances he had for his reelection. Color Alabama red. I also see Colorado and Arizona turning blue especially if Kelly is the democratic nominee in Arizona. Hickenlooper should win the Colorado seat easily. Collins, Maine, ranked voting there has me stumped. without ranked voting, I'd be going with Gideon. With Ranked voting and Savage as the green party candidate...I'd say Collins must win on the first go around or Gideon wins as a second choice.

Montana, tossup at this point. Georgia will have two very close races. Both could go either way with Perdue and probably Collins, not Loeffler squeaking out a win. But here in Georgia, a lot depends whether Biden or Sanders heads the democratic ticket. If it's Sanders, the GOP retain both seats and remains red. If it is Biden, Georgia may actually shock the political world. Kansas will stay in GOP hands as will Iowa.

California is blue no matter who wins. That's not a good example. Haven't had time for a detailed analysis of actual purple states. Those ones matter.

Those petty gains were bolstered by a witch hunt in which Trump was exonerated. Add in the failed impeachment clown show and there is even less reason for optimism. That's what this thread is all about. Why are trolling your own thread?

That's right. You have not made a single comment about the topic of this thread, which is the 2020 Senate Race.

But the Russia investigation had absolutely no impact on the record breaking results for Democrats in 2018 and Trump's impeachment combined with the half a dozen Trump associates which are now confirmed felons combines with his wholly inept response to the Coronavirus and the impending Bear market that Trump must fully own all make the Democrat's chances of obtaining a majority in the Senate in 2020 even better.
