Do you all really think you're going to take back the house in 2018? You will be lucky to gain a few governorships. People don't like the **** you're pulling these days and you have no policies. Just anti-Trump and how did that work out in 2016? I will ask this again, what is your policy platform? What will you do for the economy?

The Dems will believe what ever they are told to believe.

    Huh?

I haven't seen any polling about "taking back the House".

It would be longest of shots.

Modest House gains (10+ seats) would be great (and set up the possibility in 2020).

LOL, the way you all are going hysterical over Trump, you all won't win the presidency or congress probably for another generation if you don't get your act together. Stop with the "impeachment" nonsense and get to work on legislating.

Do you have a LINK to these polls?

    District by district?

I have seen NO EVIDENCE that the Dems could take House Control.

Are you just making things up to start an OP with your name on it?

Where are these "polls" that you are citing?

I'm just going to by the generic congressional ballot, I don't know how accurate it is. It says the dems are ahead by 8 points on real clear politics.

    I hear you.

The "generic" ballot is a BAD indicator.

It underestimates Swing Districts (where the GOP might win by 1%) and "averages" them out with districts in Cali where the Dems win by over 50%.

District-by-district (give the unconscionable Gerrymandering on the part of the GOP), most objective observers would consider a 10 to 15+ Dem pickup to be a fantastic result.

Short of House Control (but set up good for a 2020 takeover).

Well you all thought you would lose in 2006, but that didn't happen. You got the house back. Are you saying things are different than back in 2006?

    Yes. Most definitely,

The EGREGIOUS GOP Gerrymandering got truly out of control after the redistricting following the 2010 Census.

Well, I guess the best thing the dem pary can hope for is governorship gains and some state legislatures. The senate is definitely out of reach, because the dems are defending more seats.

I'm just so tired of the hate and partisanship, I know sometimes I get out of control on here, but I just hate what the media is doing to Trump. Everything he does, even if it's minor, they make a big deal out of it.

I think we will win back many seats in 2018 and 2020 we will vote Trump out of office

that is a tougher one, dems actually have to get out and vote for those, sadly many don't and leave the repubs to gerrymander the districts

Looking from the polling there will be no gains in the Senate because most of the seats open are actually democrat and almost all of the republican ones are strong red seats. However democrats can made some moderate gains in the house, perhaps better than they made in 2016 as people are a lot less favorable to the Republicans than they were in 2016.

As a Republican, I think we'll probably lose the House--we have such a low margin there, and the President's party almost always loses a few seats in the House. We'll keep the Senate (the seats in the running are more favorable to us, and there is little chance the dems will take them), and probably lose a few governorships.

They don't have a policy platform, all they are running is "impeach Trump" which is never going to happen, because nothing to "impeach" him for.

So you drew us in with a question on the polling, to pull this crap out of your depends and show it to us. When my kid was starting to potty train, he was pretty proud of what came out of his diaper too. He outgrew it

Next time you want to discuss a topic, make sure it is the same as what you put in the title.

The gerrymandering is going to be coming under scrutiny by The SCOTUS...so yes. And there is a **** load of policies offered and supported by the left that help the American people as opposed to what the corrupt right offers. Were you under a rock when Bush tanked the economy and Obama brought it back from the brink? History proves that Democratic POTUS's are always better for the economy and blue states keep most of the red states afloat which is why we need to cut those ties that bind. The red states are keeping us down and preventing us from forging ahead into the 21st century where alternative energies are a booming industry and education does not include teaching creationism.

Aren't we called the United States of America? By the way, how many bushels of corn or wheat were planted and harvested in NYC or LA? Maybe it's us in the red counties that are keeping you afloat. Goes both ways you see. Even in Blue California the red counties are in the Ag land.

I agree with that and have said so, but the polls do not agree, they say only 8 seats are even in any real contention and none of them are certain. So no, I do not agree with the polls.

Keep in mind that Presidential races are not gerrymandered, and we are well aware now of how badly the Electoral College can screw the country if the election is close, so it will not be.
