Tell me something about where you're from...

This, of course, refers to people outside the US...

Weather is changeable, it's UK. Starting to be autumnal but last week everything south of the border had a resurgence of summer and sun while we, in Scotland, still had grey rainy days although warmer than normal. They said indian summer is over and tonight it is colder than it's been. Leaves are falling.

By Halloween, the air will be sharp and cool and by November...well November 5th is Guy Fawkes night. Bonfire night. I have been looking up into snow, at bonfire night. Winter is almost upon us. On Guy Fawkes night, we do fireworks and bonfires, little kids build their bonfire for weeks before it and they make a Guy. It's an effigy of Guy Fawkes. They make him out of old clothes and a hat and they drag him round the doors and ask you "Penny for the Guy" and you give them loose change. On bonfire night, they put the Guy on top of the bonfire and burn him. Pagans eh. :-D Then we roast potatoes in the fire and set off the fireworks.

There are loads of notable people from here. Honestly, I'd be here all night. Many inventors. Many philanthropists. You'd be surprised how much world culture has been influenced by quiet Scots.

Wood is beautiful. In the woods very quietly as if nature is preparing to rest. It is hard to say ...
In the city as usual, people are living their own affairs. Life goes on little steps

What about October over there in Smolensk?

I'm in Belgrade, Serbia; currently days are sunny and warm :sun:. Nights tend to get colder in this period of year...

In the now Smolensk is night . There will be time to take pictures of the forest. I live not far from Smolensk. From my house to the woods "Taiga" is less than one killometer.

It's a difficult question and every answer equals personal taste.

Personally, what I intend to do is to pay a visit to Viminacium and here you can find more about archeological sites and similar.

    In Belgrade I'd go with....

    Kalemegdan fortress

I live just north of Brisbane in the state of Queensland in Australia. The weather today was fine but yesterday it rained.

Notable people from Australia include Howard Florey, John Monash and a bunch of other people I can't be bothered to name.
