Typical (with long hair, but that's just band-thing). Natural hair color is close to blond, but in sweden/norway you'll find more true blonds. Skin is generally pale as we are so homogeneous (same with Scandinavia, we're not part of that).
That's another thing I've heard, that you rather definitely don't consider yourselves Scandinavians, is that so? I mean, is it just geographic, that you're not on the peninsula or is it cultural as well?

He is a Finn and has written several SF novels based on the Kalevala, and the Kalevala is the only national mythology which can be seen as actually a science fiction/fantasy story itself, so naturally Finland fascinates me since I'm big on SF. You can come to visit US in some decades, without Trump, without wall, with only the authoritarian stupidity of the egalitarianists... but I am afraid you will find a country becoming little by little underdevelopped as hispanics with mean IQ 89 become larger and larger in part of the population. The developmend level of an area depend highly of the intelligence level of the population inhabiting this area. As hispanics and afro-americans will increase in the population, mean IQ will go down and it will alter development. The country will cease to be an economic, military and scientific power while China will take the first place. East Asians are highly intelligent and they have not been contaminated by antiracist integrism wich is not compatible with a civilised society in the long run.
The thing I most admire about Finland was their resistance to Russia and nazi Germany. For such a tiny county to do that was very brave.

Our resistance? It started when Russia kicked nazis out from Stalingrad and other places. Whole situation was messed up, but war is always messy. Original reason why Finland shake hands with Nazis was our really weak weaponry and Nazis gave us guns/ammo - and our troops killed lot of russians 'for the home, religion and homeland' (saying from war time). Resistance, Lapland's war, was needed to show that we're not anymore friends with Nazis. So Nazis burn about everything as they retreated from north. I'm pretty sure russia was able to defeat all our troops, but there wasn't enough will to do so. But our - written by Finns - history is like 'we won...', big picture is usually something what we can't or don't wanna see.

Trump has little effect on what your trip would be like.Cities and states very greatly. I would not believe anything the media says regarding Trump and the US. Much of what they report is false and they leave out most of what people care about. I do not believe most of what the MSM says about other countries either. The media are herd animals. They jump on a narrative then run with it. The US MSM reported that Ghadaffi was evil we should destroy him. Then they reported on these fake gas attacks in Syria as true and wanted the US to bomb Syria. Lately the MSM wants the US to intervene militarily all over the world. What they report on Finland. You guys have wonderful schools and admit third world immigrants. You guys are neanderthal racists because your immigrants do poorly on tests. You guys are the happiest in the world. You guys are the most depressed in the world.
Being happy is mostly about equality and social safety net and on ugly side is alcoholism and depression. 3 of my friends commit suicide and I hope no more coming. Winter is hard for everyone, always dark and cold. That's serious horror for some locals too. We have lot of problems, while corruption is relatively low, education system is decent (and still need to make it better, it's never good enough), health care works. I'm worried about current state of racism, because it's growing now.
