I'm passionate about politics and love debating and learning. I'm hoping I've found like minded members here who are serious about politics. The forum's internationality is a big bonus.
Nice to meet you! Welcome to PF, the place where your hopes and dreams for humanity begin to resemble a dumpster fire It's fun. You'll get opportunities for serious debate, and you will also get a lot of nonsense, but it's ultimately pretty enjoyable. Our Australian contingent is quite large, not to mention all of the other English speaking countries represented here, so you'll have some compatriots. The forum is more right-wing, but the left is well represented, too. Personally, I'm a nationalist and have serious disagreements with both groups, but even I have found a place here. Welcome!
Thanks for the welcome, Rickysdisciple. I've noticed the right wing bias. I'm a social democrat. I believe in a strong public sector - a strong welfare state, and full employment. I haven't got a problem with globalism but wish the world would get off the Neoliberal trip.
Hi! I am AboveAlpha and welcome!! I hope you enjoy it here as much as I do and I hope you have a wonderful experience. Every now and then you will run into a few pain in the asses but by and by....most members are decent enough. So have fun!! AboveAlpha
Thanks AboveAlpha. Pretty sure I just ran into you on the science forum. - - - Updated - - - Thanks Ritter.
Sorry, but he has already arrived and walked all over the carpet. Quoting from the OP: I'll be more sugary nice next time---maybe.
You can catch more butterflies with sugar than with vinegar. And there are some really colorful Aussie butterflies! Just sayin'.
Very! Women love the clothes; men love what's wearing the clothes; everyone loves the mysteries and Dot. Our national bradcaster makes it, but the past government cut its funding so they may not make many shows in future. It's funny- I was watching the Babadook for the third time before I realised the mother was Miss Fisher. I did recognise her in Game of Thrones, though.
Thanks Greataxe And that's ok. I'm used to disagreement, but hoping to find some of my own kind. A big part of the reason I'm here is to find other economic progressives familiar with MMT.
