Apparently there was more to the rumors than we thought. Bill urged her to accept and thought that would be a great platform for a presidential run in 4 years. Apparently, she says she's "tired" and word is she doesn't want to end up having to defend Obama's far left policies in 4 years. Problem is.....in 4 years she's 70 years old and already looks like she's really, really spent.

"Ed Klein, author of “The Amateur,” on Thursday told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow that, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was approached by the Obama administration to replace Joe Biden as Vice President.
“Up until just a couple of weeks ago the White House was putting out feelers to see if Hillary would accept the vice-presidential nod and replace Joe Biden,” Klein told Kudlow. “Bill Clinton was, I’m told, urging his wife to accept the number two slot. He saw this as a great launching pad for her for running in 2016.”

"Hillary had lunch in the White House a couple of weeks ago with Valerie Jarrett — Michelle [Obama]’s best friend, senior adviser to both the first lady and the president … and she told Valerie that she would not accept the vice president’s spot. The lunch was ostensibly about other matters, but it came up. … Hillary felt burned out after four years as Secretary of State. But I’m told there were more important reasons for her not accepting,” he added.

But why did Hillary supposedly turn down the offer? Apparently, according to Klein, she felt that by accepting the VP nod, she’d damage her chances of running in 2016, which is to say she’s distancing herself from the Obama administration and its policies.

“She felt that if she were on the ticket with Obama and he lost, she would be tarred as a loser when she tried to run in 2016,” Klein said. “On the other hand, if she was on the ticket and he won, and he continued his far left-wing socialistic policies, she’d have to defend those policies when she ran in 2016 [emphasis added].”

Yes, I remember how calm and composed Hillary was on her trip to Bosnia.

Hillary may be preparing for a presidential run of her own in 2016 and she needs a break from politics for a while and she's obviously exhausted from too much travelling as US Secretary of State and she's not ready for joining the Democratic to campaign for Obama. The most recent Rasmussen poll shows President Obama attracting support from 46% of voters nationwide, while Mitt Romney earns the vote from 45%, which shows that the Romney campaign got a poll bump from the VP announcement as Obama was leading Romney by 9% just a week ago and it's plausible that the Obama campaigning is exploring the options for replacing Biden with someone else.

Obama has already announced that Biden is staying on the ticket.

Obama also reassured Joe that he was well on his way to being declared the best vice-president of the twentieth century.

The source is not The Blaze. That is the link. You Liberals resemble little kids with their fingers stuck in their ears when they believe something is going to be said that they don't want to hear.

The source is the author of the current #2 NY Times Best Seller, "The Amateur". To date, his work has stood up.

I would like to hear what Hillary and Bill say... but they won't talk until after the election if ever. However, if they don't deny it, then you can count on it being true. The Clinton's have a habit of always answering public items like this one and love playing "read between the lines".

I think this is just a feeler HB. Honestly, they know (as does most everyone else) that Obama is in a lot of trouble. He has lost ground on every voting demographic since 2008. He cheated to beat Hillary for the run (documented) and 2010 wasn't just about Conservatives rising up in a historic trouncing...one helluva lot of Hillary Dems abstained in 2010.

Now, he has thrown everything out to see what will stick. Class warfare, women vote, amnesty packages, gay marriage. he is not just scorched toast...he is burnt to a crisp toast.

I think Biden played the collectivist game. He gives enough ammo to get himself thrown under the bus and minimize the blowback on the ex messiah. Then the talks start about Hillary. Meetings in the WH. The purchased media a buzz. Hillary....no, no, no.

And then they wait and gauge the buzz percentages.

I think you're right, CE. And I've said along... there are no misspeaks in the Obama Administration. Every word out of their mouth is carefully orchestrated to further their agenda. Same with stories like this one. Obama's official WH schedule listed a meeting with Hillary immediately before lunch with Biden yesterday. Considering it's the story of the week... seemed a little TOO timely to me.

Events by Barack. Look for more productions during the next 80 days.

No. Reid pulled his information out of his backside orifice. This guy talked to people inside the Clinton inner circle who told him. Now....IF it's not true, I'm sure they'll say so.

Oh, Reid's information is invalid, but this anonymous source is correct?

That is hilarious in how utterly hypocritical and partisan that is. I suppose when it fits your agenda, anonymous sources are correct or the person will refute themselves, but if it is bashing a Republican, well those are pulled form the ass.

I do appreciate candor though and would like to congratulate you for being open about your dual standards.

The source is a book by Ed Klein. You have a problem with his source.

Fact is, the Obama administration announced Joe Biden will be on the ticket with Obama in November. Which obviously means Hillary won't be.

    See how that works?

According to the OP, the source of Klein's information is an anonymous source. Let's review it together so you are clear on this.

Ed Klein, author of “The Amateur,” on Thursday told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow that, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was approached by the Obama administration to replace Joe Biden as Vice President.

Note the source is not named, making him or her anonymous.

Or nonexistent. Klein has written some fairly nasty (*)(*)(*)(*) about Hillary before.

Yeah, I see that Biden is going to be the VP nominee. Seemed fairly (*)(*)(*)(*)ing obvious how that works.

Prolly more reliable than Reid's sources about Bain and Romney's taxes.

Yeah, probably, you know, because this source bashes a Democrat and Reid's idiotic comment bashed a Republican, so you are right, this anonymous source that may or may not even exist is more reliable than another that may or may not exist.

That's what I said. The OPs source is Ed Klein. You have a problem with his source.

Ed Klein, author of “The Amateur,” on Thursday told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow...

Story has it she wants to fix herself up for the 2016 race. Lose weight, get a few nicks & tucks, rest up and get healthy. Makes sense if she's really interested in running. I don't think she is... what do you think?

YEP..SHE will spending quite a lot of time at the fat farm. Plus, she's a smart woman; she'd much rather run against a Republican's 4 year record....than have to defend Obama's 8 years.

Honestly I wish Hillary had been chosen instead of Biden. It was bad enough having him for four years, now they've put another idiot, Paul Ryan, up as his competition
