And going by the local Facebook responses people aren’t on his side this time. Publix is our main supermarket and it’s farily beloved. I plan on heading over tomorrow to walk over some fake dead teens who have taken their outrage to a delusional level. Don’t try to punish local supermarkets in Parkland when it was corporate decisions. And considering a huge chunk of FL are gun owners he might not get the reaction he’s expecting.
So now Hog wants people to commit the crime of trespassing all all because he says so? This guy has the potential to be another Jim Jones, Charlie Manson or Adolph Hitler. There's going to come a time when he's going to tell people to do something and someone is going to get hurt.
Then you don’t know Publix. They’re very active in the community and extremely philanthropic. You get to know their employees because they hire wonderful people. My kids know the manager, a lady in the bakery and the produce guy by name. Gets high fives and hugs ever time they come in...when they were younger. My wife was there a lot.

If he only had opinions that would be one thing. And his opinions are based on ignorance and immaturity. But he’s actively trying to shut down businesses and organizations he doesn’t like. He’s not just an innocent kid if enough people follow his lead and if he’s financially trying to destroy peolle than he’s playing an adult game and needs to be treated as such. There is certainly No shortage of crazy ass crap he’s been spewing.
Hogg has the luxury of viewing everything in a right vs wrong dichotomy as it relates to the first issue in his life he's found a passionate interest in. It's borne of ignorance of course, blissful ignorance afforded him through his dependent status as an adolescent and his late steps toward a broader study and understanding of history, economics, politics, human nature and logic. Hogg sees zero problems with being a one trick poney, or a one issue voter. He's doubling down in defense of his single issue, damn the reality or the harm to society or individuals involved he steadfastly condemns those with alternate views on his singular issue. Life is more complex and he doesn't yet seem to have formed the intellectual capabilitie to discern the value within those who may disagree with him. Or that he may be wrong. Or that perhaps someone else's idea might have merit. Hogg seems delayed in his development or intellectual maturity. The black and white construct, everything being either right or wrong is a pre-pubescent early adolescents world view. We start to grasp that someone can hold a view counter to ours, on any given issue, and still be good and a moral person and perhaps correct at around 7 years old. Past that milestone we can understand abstract concepts, understand another's opinion and get past egocenterism. Hoggs egocenterism has him stuck in a “'self-centred' view of the world” meaning that he has difficulty understanding that other people may see things differently, and hence hold a differing point of view. Hogg doesn't seem to be able to classify things or structure objects, ideas or actions hierarchically. He still cannot divorce the perceptual domination of one aspect of a situation from his problem solving. Hogg's perception of any situation or problem is dominated by one aspect. This is pre 'age of reason thinking'. Hogg sees Publix as an enemy and wrong because they support a candidate that also supports gun ownership. Hogg sees everything in that single aspect, gun issues, and is incapable of understanding that Publix isn't donating for candidate x's views on guns but candidate x's economic policy. Hog doesn't understand that Publix is a large employer that pays much better than most and offers substantial benefits as well as matched 401K contributions and profit sharkng. Hogg doesn't take into account that Publix is a major contributor to food shelf and community cupboards, pulling food from the shelves before they go out of code (sell by date) and donating it to homeless shelters and food shelves for the poor. Out of date food cannot be given away for human consumption. Publix could wait until the food goes out of code and take the full retail value as a loss but they dont, they pull it days (for meat, bread and dairy) and weeks in advance (canned goods) so it can be used and not destroyed. It's a tax hit. So, Mr. Hogg, is your attack on Publix helping or hurting your neighbors? Mr Hogg, is Publix giving to candidate x for his / her economic policies or for his / her gun rights policy? Are you capable of intellectually discerning the difference? Mr. Hogg in my opinion is developmentally challenged, it seems he's failed to meet some fundemental milestones. Sad really.
He's not advocating a mere boycott. Mr. Hogg is enticing people, teens I'm guessing, to trespass and actively impede Publix from doing business. It's insanity. Publix has no public position on gun rights. All Publix has done is make a legal donation to a candidate for public office. The Florida limit is $3,000 for a candidate for Governor for an individual or corporation. I wouldn't find it odd if Publix also gave the $3,000 limit to the adversary as well. This isn't protest, it's violence intended to harm.
With the amazing amount of hate being directed at this young man I am very very surprise that he is still alive for the right wing to be able to complain about him. Who the hell is providing him and his family the level of security needed to keep him alive with every gun nut in the US considering him either Stalin or the anti-Christ? Who ever they are they are very low key and very very good.
