Are you claiming that I am saying that Holocaust did not happen? If yes, quote me. If you can't, maybe you should admit that you read too much into my posts.

I'm stating that even with your claim that you are not claiming the Holocaust didn't happen in your OP, you pull a blanket of confusion over your sincerity in the matter, by your pointing out to others that they are believing something they didn't personally see ( in most cases).

There, at least from my POV, is where the confusion begins.

Like I said, I can only read into a post, what a poster allows to be read.

In other words, you can't quote me as saying that Holocaust did not happen. Thanks for playing.

You also can't prove that Bigfoot and Nessie exist....see how that works (those two and "god" are in the same category, of course.)

you believe that the Nazis did not seek to commit genocide against the Jewish people, did not have a massive program for extermination using gas chambers and death squads.

you believe that Jews only died while under Nazi detention due to starvation and disease caused by Allied sanctions, and due to Allied bombing.

you also believe that "millions" of Jews died in Germany, which is impossibly as only 300,000 Jews remained in Germany by 1938.

you also believe that most of the personnel at the Nuremberg Trials were Jews, and that if Hitler was detained he would have been put into Jewish custody.

you also believe that the testimony of all Nazi and Nazi-ally detainees is invalid as they were "all tortured" and gave testimony under duress and threat.

sorry bro, but this is Holocaust denial.

thank you for your dad's service.

We, the Jewish people, are truly greatful.

    Have a great day.

I only said those things in response to what other people had said. Just playing the Devil's advocate in the interest of having a debate. I as a matter of fact am undecided on Holocaust. I have said it before and I will say it again: I personally do not know whether Holocaust happened or not.

This practice of "Playing Devil's Advocate" for discussion's sake... Especially in text... Makes a wonderful foundation for confusion IN a discussion.
    Just saying...

That's not a very astute statement. If someone is already convinced by evidence and history and has accepted the plethora of facts brought forth, why would they want to listen to tripe, malarkey or hogwash?

many of us are very familiar with their faulty logic and failed arguments.

I have debated them for years.

their logic, is crap. Especially that Jewish testimony cannot be trusted, Nazi POW testimony cannot be trusted, that Adolf Eichmann's interview cannot be trusted, etc etc.

It's next to impossible to trust testimony that contradicts clearly, a differing POV.

Or so I'm told by children everywhere.

Based on talking to you about this for 2 days its clear to me that no amount of evidence other than a time machine taking you bck to Auschwitz to witness the killings, would convince you that it happened.

I suspect within a day or week you will claim that testimony from Jewish survivors is unrealiable, that Adolf Eichmann's interview is unreliable, that Auschwitz had no gas chambers, that the ovens could not have cremated even 300,000 people over 3 years, that there is no evidence of a Nazi intent to commit genocide, that Hitler never called for genocide, that the Wansee Conference is fake, that the Jewish population figures for Europe have been fudged, that the 1945-1948 census for Jewish population says that there was no Holocaust, etc etc etc.

we have seen the arguments of Holocaust Deniers before, and they are old and tired.

    how very ironic

tell us, what evidence do you need to see to believe the Nazis killed around 6 million Jews?

It is reasonable to doubt things which are probable but speculative- but when documentation is as overwhelming as the holocaust, with records, photos, survivors, confessed guards and criminals, and mass graves- you have to be an idiot to do so. You can sit in a room with the proverbial 600 lb gorilla and say it's not there too- also an idiot's position.

Recognizing the worst events and people in history provides a form of insurance that prevents it happening again. If we do not learn from the past- we do not learn at all.

I don't care what anyone says.

I dreamt I was the center of the unknown universe.

Facts be damned, I will remain aloof regarding this, & until I see otherwise, I will dismiss any claims to the contrary.

I don't think it really matters what it will take to convince me personally. I am just a little nobody posting on an internet forum. But the important thing is that we should not criminalize Holocaust denial. This is my main point.

    This I can get behind.

It's a God given human right to remain as ignorant as one wishes.

    Ignorance should never be criminalized.

no, your OP and your other posts made it clear you think the Nazis didn't want to commit genocide and that millions of Jews died in Germany.

I have researched and absorbed the necessary information throughout my lifetime, which has brought me to my beliefs. You admitted that you have not done and may or may not do the research, so therefore, you are not on par with anyone who has done the due diligence on the subject. That being said, your conversation morphed from should deniers be penalized for voicing their beliefs to one of trying to convince others that the Holocaust did not happen and people should not argue otherwise, despite the fact that you admittedly have not researched the subject to any great depth. Sorry, but your presentation is way too convoluted and there have been too many questions that you have avoided.
