    Hmmmmm..........................

When we do that, it's considered GBH on somebody else.
Classified as excessive if it does the other person harm; little lone murder.

This country views it as vigilantism calling it the law of the jungle.

Also we abolished the death penalty here.

    gosh gippos...well I never...who'd a thought it...
They'll probably have another go - tooled up and mob handed.

I love the term "traveller" its short for "travelling from place to place ripping off the tax payer, covering the local playgounds in shyte we chuck out from our caravans and, whilst we've infested the area, travelling from house to house nicking peoples bits and bobs"

Spot on, Scotty - society's parasites. As to this particular case, I detect a claim for government compensation around the corner?

Sometimes I just wonder who's side are the police on?

As you've probably gathered from some of my posts, I gave up on the plod years ago. They were okay until that great liberal Commissioner Ian Blair took over the Met, then it all fell apart like every other public service in this poor country of ours.

yeah..me as well...it followed that incident in Yorkshire was it..?? When those two policemen stood and watched that kid drown in a paddling pond because they hadn't been "trained" and they couldn't get a risk assessment team on site...what was that 5-6 years ago?

I see one of the tabloids this morning have at last realised they've lost the plot . . .

"proof, if any were needed, that the Old Bill has lost the plot completely"

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/a...en-shrine-outrage-proof-police-lost-plot.html

I mean, what's the effing point of them? ****ed if I know!!

Littlejohn's question "why haven't Vincent's supporters been arrested?" Simple answer - they're beyond the reach of the law; they'll ignore any summons and move on, and keep moving on until the authorities call it a day. And even if they were fined (because there's certainly no way they can be locked up even if there were enough cells), they won't pay it, so then what! They're taking the piss out of us because they know all of the above makes them untouchables.

its the path of least resistance...too much effort required when the residents are easier to "manage". The law abiding are being screwed by the law because they maintain the law...

Couldn't have put it better myself - potholes in the nations roads as big as sinkholes and this wanker May is about to spend £zillions sending an army to effing Syria.

I know one thing - she's going to finish the Tories hopes of winning for at least two general elections. Probably three when the **** hits the fan.

Police advised me, if he is armed, shoot him. If he is unarmed, Cricket bat.

Well, I once was interrupted making love outside in Soho/dogging one night by this off duty copper who advised we didn't do that in public, then wanted to hang out with me and her, and then offered us cocaine, telling me & her it was okay to take since it didn't show up on any piss tests when I asked him if he should be doing that since he's a cop.
Thankfully we got back to the club we had came from (me and her) and ditched him in the end; but I'd never forget that off duty policeman offering me coke. I don't do coke, coke is b/s.

Point is- Don't trust a police officer, trust the law.
Anyone who says shoot or use a cricket bat is advising you to break the law too, doesn't matter (though it should) if they're a police officer or an off duty police officer.

You should have recorded that advice, and used it to sue that police department, that is awful advice, to give in the UK.

It was high profile case mate.
The media was watching them closely.
Not to mention the PM. The Tory's had just got elected and adjusted the self defence laws.
Everything was done by the book.

Why would I sue the police?

The advice is good. I have way better cards to play if I ever end up in court.

I'm not American, I don't sue people. Let alone government people who won;t pay the fine themselves but pass it straight back to me, the taxpayer.

Well, you could take the police to court if you could prove they gave you the advice you said they did.
That advice since you're not in America, would result into your conviction of murder or GBH if you were to follow it.
Be British and sue them since you can't follow that ill advice in Britain.
If you were to prove they advised you to break UK law, you could sue them.
Take that bent copper to the IPCC and claim had you have followed that advice, you'd be tried and convicted.
UK police should never tell you to do that so if they have, prove it, use it, compensation for you for their failure of duty, and suspension for that police officer who doesn't know their job.

Consider it a service to your country getting dodgy coppers off the beat.

    No it won't mate.

The law allows for the use of reasonable force in your self defence or the defence of your property.
Police guidelines for what reasonable force is... is as I just described to you.

Actual ultimate decision on the law's application is taken by the jury. Not you, and not the Police.
What you think the law is and what they think the law is, and even what lawyers and the judge think the law is.... not important.
    Jury of my peers decides.

Yes, I could be prosecuted for GBH or manslaughter etc in those circumstances but you should expect any such prosecution to fail.
Just as they failed with Tony Martin and every one else.
Certainly I was charged the crime of intent, but charges against me were dropped.

Oh they tried to scare me with prosecution and five years in jail etc.
    But I don't scare easy
    .

As for sueing? Dream on. I'm a Brit.
