    I've read a bit more about Zimmerman. He sounds very much like the sort of man who should never have been allowed to be on Neighborhood Watch, certainly not armed.

    I don't think this completely or even largely refutes his story of being attacked, overpowered, and having his head smashed against the concrete (more the attempt than the reality since you can maintain a stiff neck in that situation and limit the damage.

    I would be a bit more skeptical about Martin reaching for Zimmerman's gun, but it's possible, and in a situation like that, who is going to remember perfectly?

    The psychos tell us that memories are constructed, not recorded, and of course Mr Zimmerman, facing a capital charge, would have every motivation to 'sex up' a basically true story and would not have had even to be consciously aware that he was doing so.

    There might be something we could do to prevent future tragedies like this, and I have started a thread with an idea I had along those lines, and invite comments on it.

    Since when do you have to wait until you have recieved serious bodily injury or are dead before you can defend yourself Ms. Legal Expert and prove your claim Zimmerman violate the Florida stalking and assault laws.

    Twin Lakes did have burglaries in the apartments and single family houses. The Retreat at Twin Lakes did not.

    Zimmerman has been in trouble with the law again and again. He created the problem with Travon Martin and then killed him instead of TALKING. That makes him a world class dumbass.

    The CDC did a study which explains why. It discovered that if someone is armed when they are assaulted they are far less likely to be injured during the event.

    Neat huh?

    Zimmerman had to follow the kid first in his car and then on foot in the dark and in the rain. I would have hit Zimmerman on the head with a flowerpot.

    Hmmm... I would have said to Zimmerman ... why are you following me? And when Zimmerman said, whatever he would have said, I would have explained that I was going to my Uncle's apartment, and given the address. I would have also said, you probably think I'm a burglar ... so why not follow me to my uncle's apartment and watch me let myself in with a key.. And since it must be lonely on Neighborhood Watch, come in and have a cup of coffee.

    Because it's a little less violent if you smash someone in the head with something that has flowers in it? You would have assaulted someone just for looking at you, same as TM. The outcome would be similar.
