The implication was clear. Dixiehunter will "confront" homosexuals if he sees them. You may, what is it you like to say--slick lawyer? You may slick lawyer it all you like, but DH is gonna (*)(*)(*)-bash if he "sees a one a them homos walking down his street." Said (*)(*)(*) is fully justified in bashing back. And if it does happen to be my friend the Marine, it's gonna be one hell of a bashing. DH better be strapped if he's gonna pick on a Marine Corps martial arts instructor. So who's the bully here? The person minding his own business? Or the hillbilly with the firearm "confronting" someone who has done him no harm?

Come on dude, you already lost this one. Don't make it any worse for yourself. Quit while you are ahead.

If you don't like bullies then you don't like Dixiehunter. He is the one who is going to "confront" homosexuals. Your pal DH will be the instigator--by his own admission. Who is the bully? The homosexual in this scenario is simply going to "confront back." You disapprove of self-defense? You disapprove of standing up for one self?

Confrontation is now kicking someone's ass?

Isn;t that what this debate forum is all about?

And no, if you confront DISCIPLINED MARINES, they will simply walk away. They are not easily driven to violence and understand the control put on place to control the violence we teach them. He follows the MARINE CORPS STANDARD.

And last time I checked, the US Military was designed to protect the weak - not beat them up because they disagree with the petualant antics of spoiled children.

If he did what you think he should, he would be booted out of the Marines. And Marines have code, honor, service, sacrifice, things that cannot be proven scientifically, but are critically important to men and women who happen to by Marines.

I know, I fought with them in Fallujha and Ramadi. Good people, that why those places were turned around.

You? You just want to beat up people who disagree with you, and nothing honorable will ever come from that.

If someone says, "I don't like your lifestyle." You walk away stud.

If someone takes out a gun and and attempts to force you to do anything, I suggest you do it - because guns kill people rather easily. If you play hero, you had better be able to do it, and you had better be prepared for the result.

Because, once you play hero in reality, one of those two people is going to be seriously hurt or killed. We have a right to defend ourselves. Now tell me how playing hero in that situation helps anyone?

If someone is pointing a 'gun' at you through the internet? Well, that just as sacry as hell is to you atheists.

That's why dixiehunter comes on these forums bashing gays, says he will confront them if he sees them in public (and in that context, no I don't think he means he will just speak to them), and telling them that they will burn in hell for being "perverts". He must sure have a whole hell of a lot of honor.

    BS.

I know exactly what they mean when they threaten someone with the USMC.

It would be no different that me saying, "Well, I am a Ranger, come say that to my face stud."

The implication is clearly not that I will mildly admonish them.

Nice to see you change context on a dime again.

Is it really that hard to acknowledge that bullying is wrong? Or do you need to rationalize everything an atheist says?

And finally, if someone tells me that I am going to float in a tub of chocolate syrup because of my beliefs? I obviously do not believe that and I walk away. I certainly do not pull out an M4 and threaten them, much less beat the crap out them.

Descretin is the better part of valor, but you atheists certainly seem hell bent on hurting people who disagree with you.

I'm going to give Dixiehunter the benefit of the doubt and assume that when he says "confront" he really means "kick the (*)(*)(*)(*) out of." In such case, appropriate force is justified on the part of the victim.

Exactly. DH has shown that he is much less capable of substantive debate than he is of punching people in the face. When someone like him says "confront," he does not mean "discuss."

OK, let's assume you are correct and DH really means he is just going to talk to the queers he sees on the street--why does he have to say anything in the first place? Why can't he just walk away? What would you do?

Bullying is wrong, so dixiehunter is wrong. He is the only one that came across as a bully in this thread. Bashing gays and saying he will confront them IS CLASSIC bullying.

Threatening people with the idea of having your goonish USMC friend beat them up is just as bad. Worse, it is a direct threat of violence and you know it.

I am already sais that dixie is wrong if he threatens, but he is not wrong to confront something he thinks is wrong. A homosexual can either bark back, or, walk away.

I mean if you came across a man screwing a squirrel on your frontg lawn ... I am pretty sure you would be upset by that too. You would probably shoo them away as well.

I am betting you would NOT run to the nearest Marine base and drag a Marine over and say, "OK, screw the squirrel now stud!"

    Just a thought .... :brushteeth:

    of course i do

kind of like the subject of religion; i want each to know just how simple it is to understand.

What makes these issues tough is comprehending why liars continue to lie.

And to focus on this areas, then i can enable anyone to be just as capable of overcoming the ignorance, themselves.

No one can fix a liars, unless they want too but the good ones will see just how easy it is to judge the idiots and then deal with them on their own time.

Ie...... if the food line is long, the liars go to the back

Please show me the post where that happened. Saying dixiehunter may get his ass kicked because he confronts and bullies people is not a threat.

You haven't said that once, you described him as an honorable and good man and that was that.

Yeah, totally the same thing. Illegally having sex with a wild animal and having consensual relations with another adult man is apparently the same to you.

I did not say I was going to have anyone beat up. I said I thought it would be really funny if DH decided to "confront" my friend, a Marine Corps martial arts instructor, who happens to be gay. I would say DH would get what he deserves if he chose to "confront" this particular Marine--a Marine who, consequently, served his country proudly having to hide who he really was--all so DH could spout all his hateful rhetoric all day.

Also--DH did not state that the homosexual in question would be on his front lawn so your squirrel analogy fails miserably once again. If you are going to make an analogy you ought to be sure it is... well, analogous.

Right you were just hoping that he would meet a martial arts instructor and confront him, because his martial arts instruction would be relevant to a mild verbal admonishment.

YOu were looking for a good old fashioned ass kicking. And now, like I say, when confronted with it - you just change the context.

Atheism is a magical thing, it can never be wrong.

Now I have to express things the way you want them expressed?

Oh, I have to specifically state that it is Hillbilly for you to comprehend it? But I guess in referring to BOTH the violent homosexual and HB in context was too much for you? :omg:

Oh, so the problem with sexual deviancy is that it is illegal? So, when homosexuality was outlawed it was bad? Is that how it rolls?

No argument but we must realize that the social/religous institutions of marriage, which vary by culture and even with individuals within the same culture, are like colors on a color wheel. Some might choose the color blue while others select green or yellow or purple but under the law marriage must accommodate the entire color wheel so long as those involved are adults that can provide informed consent.

Its not so simple Shiva, and I have tremendous sympathy for the homosexual community on this one. Unlike you, I view this as almost nothing to do with the law, but with reality and morality.

The begin with, marriage is not that different the world over. In over 90% of the cases, it is between a sole man and woman. In the societies that allow polygamy, we see three things:

Polynesian or South American (there are others) tribes where wealth is the factor and women are pretty much viewed as a status symbol of wealth.

We see polygamist sects like fundamentalists LDS, and in this we also see the subjugation and abuse of women.

And we see polygamy in Islam, albeit with strong caviets that should make it all but impossible - if at least permiseable.

THroughout history, marriage in this sense has been between man and woman/women. The new call for homosexual marriage is different, tellingly so.

I think you would be hard pressed to say that polygamy is more moral than homosexuality, or, even in a religious sense, that this is the ideal that God seeks. And you do indeed see homosexuals who are deeply, and obviously lovingly so, committed to one another. This can be particularly stinging to homosexuals who are religious. They feel the blessing of love, but are denied the sacrament and sanction of God in the relationship that defines their love here on earth. That is a deeply stinging thing.

If you are not religious, then you have no idea what it is to be denied God's love. Its really no different than Catholics bishops attempting to deny the sacraments to those who support abortion. Who is man to take such a decision for God?

And yet, even as we accept this portion as valid, we still have others. One of th belssings of marriage is children, and, as we have discussed, these cannot come from a homosexual union. This is probably the single largest reason that many people are, when the onion is peeled, against homosexuality.

Indeed, in the OT rules where homosexuality was discussed and admonished, there is literally no other way for said couples to have children - save through adoption. Even modern techniques leave open plenty of room for ethnical consideration as the child is by definition from outside the marriage.

The point being here that we have to tread carefully. The goal is not to force homosexuality on others, but acceptance and equality - something the law alone cannot provide. For that to happen is going to take patience and sacrifice, and getting the law striaghtened out to offer the opportunity to demonstarte the institutions merit in homosexuality?

That just gets the ball into the court. If it is percieved that homosexuals are just stamping their ticket, the laws will eventually be rolled back - as they were in Spain centuries ago, where homosexuality was once tolerated.

The point being that, like it or not, the moral burden on the homosexuality community is to demonstrate that it is not a sexual perversion.

The true irony of all this, is that our enemies make hash out of our allowance and tolerance of homosexuals. But, in those same societies, I have literally seen the same vehement homophobia followed by the literal practice of, "Women are for babies, and men are for pleasure."

many have friends called smith and wesson

    he is a marine.

being gay is not who he is. being gay is what he chooses as a preference of partners.

a gay person is no different than a hetero.

and if i call a queer a queer and they kick my butt dont mean they are more capable, it would mean they are too weak to be gay. And then if the marine used his training to kick my butt..... i would be able to put the idiot in jail for using it on a civilian.

But in reality, i dont have any reason to call a queer a queer just for liking the same sex, as that is bigotry, Yet if a queer does something stupid to flaunt being a queer and rude and crude, i would slap the pukes face for being irresponsible. heck, i would expect to be slapped if i grabbed Jay Lo's butt (since she is the most beautiful women in the world by recent measures and available), as the overtish act is irresponsible, no matter the choice of gender.

Anyone can be crude, no matter the preference. And if a queer thinks the law can protect them to be allowed to be idiots in public; you gotta another thing comin'

dh is like a u; rude with irresponsibility

and i have no doubt each will get what they got coming

Oh the irony. It turns out Mr. Smith and Wesson is going to admister a stern talking to in the event that any homosexuals show themelves.

This is obviously not a threat in any way, and clearly just a response to bullying behavior from someone else.

And no one said it was correct.

Whew, good thing no one said any of that.

And no one said anything about any of that either. Yet another post that is only tenuously related to the conversation you're involved in. Way to keep the streak alive.

My mistake. The class I took covering HIV/AIDS back in 2003 said that Dugas was patient zero as far as the US is concerned. Obviously that info has been found to be incorrect.

Right. No one did any threatening at all. Christians just make everything up.

Atheists will go to any extreme at all just to disagree won't they?
