I read that Hezbollah has about 140,000 missiles aimed at Israel.
Seems every second house near the Israeli border has a missile
    in it.

They could do what Venezuela has done - listen to what
Cuban "advisors" tell them. And of course, the Chinese,
Russians, North Koreans and Iranians might chip in with
some of their wisdom as well.
If you are going to listen to some nation then look at how
    that nation has fared.

My position on Venezuela is to allow their people to decide what government they want and to choose their leaders

Instead of a few generational rich elites and our rich elites .

And then leave them the hell alone!

Just so long as it is a democracy where the people can change their minds .

What is wrong with giving the majority of the people what they want? If what they choose does not work for them they can change it by voting!

It's not the "rich elite" who destroyed Venezuela, it was the Marxists.
And worse than the old Marxists, Chavez embraced the alt-Marxists,
the cultural Marxists of the Frankfurt School variety - and engaged in
    racist identity politics as well.

Um... ask your average Cuban or Venezuelan can they change their government
"by voting" and the answer is no. Socialist nations can only vote for Socialists.

Well then they need some form of electoral reform...Brazil and a few other nations in South America have seen a surge in populist movements of late as they apparently haven't seen the 'benefits' of socialism. Surprise Suprise

But next to socialism the next curse on a nation is populism.
Fact is - wealth and freedom come from hard won experiences
as Europeans have found out. And this includes separation of
powers, open trade, education, trade unions, private property,
liberal democracy, rule of law etc..

    populism
    [ˈpɒpjʊlɪz(ə)m]
    NOUN
    1. a political approach that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.
    Trump = Product of Populism
    Brexit = Product of Populism

And so on so forth...the rise of right wing groups across Europe is another Populist movement in many cases.

Populism is more popular in Europe than anywhere else globally, The extremity of socialism in South America would obviously lead to populist movements eventually.

However, people who feel that their leaders don't represent them and in many ways betray them leads to Populism....not Socialism alone

I don't think Trump was due to populism. I suspect it was because
of the extremes of American politics - and this could happen in the
next Presidential if the common folk are given a choice between
Trump and Sanders. It could be like Johnston and Corbyn all
    over again.

It was the Marxists who were keeping the poor without even enough food? It was the Marxists who tried a coup on Chavez and assassination attempts on Venezuela elected presidents? shame on them. It was the Marxists who would have taken over Venezuela had it not been for the loyalty of its army to the people of Venezuela? Shame on them. It was the Marxists who got a man to claim he was President and then declared that him doing this this meant he was the President? Shame on them. It was the Marxists who took the money from the Venezuela Government which was in the US and in the UK and gave it to the imposter they tried to make president? Shame on them. It was the Marxists who have been starving the people of Venezuela stopping them being able to get medical help, causing 40,000 deaths of civilians mainly the sick and young in one year? - the next almost certainly more. It was the Marxists who are intent on doing what Javad Zarif said Pompeo has said the US will do to the people of Iran if they do not do what the US tells them - starve the people of Iran?

Clearly the people you are speaking of and calling Marxists are the most dangerous people to the world at the moment deliberately mass killing civilians and intent on destroying elected governments.

No that was the USA. The people the USA call 'The Opposition' were a very small group of the Opposition. Like the ones the US usually choose these were the most violent. The opposition itself a few days ago voted the imposter out of his self declared Presidency. With both Iran and Venezuela the US may find itself facing charges of genocide. It the UN ever gets itself together the charges for what it has done to other South American countries will be as serious.

The Jews at the Frankfurt School had people from different disciplines looking at different things. Some possibly more astute than others. One thing I know the Frankfurt school to work on together was to find a way where the situation would not be there for something like what happened to Jews in WW2 to ever happen to anyone again. Your criticism of the Jews of the Frankfurt school was the main criticism the far right had at the beginning when they were trying to undo what stopped them from gaining influence - not least ideas against racism. Is not this view that the Frankfurt School 'destroyed the world for white supremacy' just another version of 'Jews ruling the world?'

For many decades now the US has overthrown many legitimately elected leaders and governments only to install our cruel puppet governments.

That is one of the main reasons so many peasants leave their home countries to travel here on foot.

But of course the mainstream media never discusses that.

They are masked as Shiite Islamic revolutionist but when Hassan Nasrallah issued a new threats against Israel just recently, they do show their own true face.

Yes. It's rare that we see a nation collapse so fast and hard. And there's no one to blame but Chavez and his commie friends. Venezuela went into a nosedive as soon as Chavez took the controls.

    Marxism fails every time.
