Thank you, I needed a laugh. Dad turns 101 in 3 months from yesterday. He asked if I was going to give him a party? I said "Dad, you only get a party every second year, that's what you told us as kids". He said "That's mean". I said "I know, that's what we told you every second year" What's the saying? What goes around, comes around.
Obviously early in the debacle now is recognised about 2 in 5 or about 40% that is wrong. Not something to be proud of, just sad that while the indecency is demonstrated, it is actually worse than portrayed...
The thing was, both this and the census debacle were predictable. As a systems analyst for the last 10 years I worked at the Dept of Health, working with large complex systems some failings were quite obvious. As for the census, you get the General manager of the ABS get up and say, the system is infallible and I immediately heard the clatter of a thousand school kids or uni students getting on a Unix powered PC and starting up their hacking software
lol, my kids also only get parties every second year... now all I have to do is make it to 101, I'm not even halfway yet Throw him a party LRL, 101 is amazing, at least get a cake big enough to fit all his candles. (maybe someone to jump out of the cake ... perhaps not, might give him an unhealthy fright)
Haha, not even halfway? You are a spring chicken..... 100% no offence meant, more a compliment! Cheerio
My unanswered question about the census is why did we have to provide our name and address? We've never had to provide it before. What's with the privacy invasion? By the way, the projected 'savings' from the Centrelink 'debt' collection was figured in to the Coalition's budget forecast. Someone's got to pay for those corporate welfare handouts excuse me tax cuts.
So funny but yet so true. It's always an argument on here who the real bludgers are! Politicians and media corporates are masters at sleight of hand stuff that has nutters hysterical by disguising the elephant in the room.
