statistics says heterosexual men are acting more responsibly.... and if you break that down into whites vs blacks.... white heterosexual men are (as a whole) acting safer than any other group.

when are gay males going to own their own choices and say "noone is making us the highest risk group but us"

the blaming of HIV/AIDs on homophobic beliefs is simply the blame game trying to deflect from poor personal choices. you are doing it here.... you want to think it's a convenient reason to hate gays....

I think hard questions, not politically correct questions, need to be asked about AIDs if you really want to help prevent until a cure is found...

for instance.... states leading the epidemic

Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011California 5,973 Total population - 38,041,430
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011Florida 5.403Total population -19,317,568
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011Texas 5,065Total population -26,059,203
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011New York 4,960Total population -19,570,261
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011Georgia 2,522Total population -9,919,945
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011Illinois 2,142Total population -12,875,255
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011Maryland 1,783Total population -5,884,563
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011North Carolina 1,672Total population -9,752,073
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011New Jersey 1,567Total population -8,864,590
Number of Diagnoses of HIV Infection, 2011Pennsylvania 1,545Total population -12,763,536

it makes sense that the leading states are the most populated ones.... but why is Maryland so high on the list with the above states with more than double the population?

well, demographic correlation says Black or African American alone, percent, 2012 (a) 30.0% while the US average is 13.1%

another tough un-politically correct concern..... just like gays having 53% of the new cases, while only having roughly 3%

Well first of all- AIDs should be a concern for anyone- AIDs is not a homosexual disease- it is just more prevalent in the homosexual male community- so everyone should practice safe sex.

Secondly, I think people just notice what they want to notice- the gay community actually spends a great deal of time on AIDs awareness- here in San Francisco there are billboards and signs reminding men to practice safe sex- and certainly more can be done.

I haven't heard them say anything else.

Condom use has gone down in all groups- 'white men' might be 'more responsible' than other groups- but that doesn't mean that they are being responsible

    http://healthland.time.com/2013/11/12/no-condom-culture-why-teens-arent-practicing-safe-sex/

You seem confused about what I said:
AIDs provides a handy cover to blame gays.

I seriously believe that there are people who would oppose curing AIDs because they believe that the disease is an effective propaganda tool against homosexuals.

Yes- I do believe that AIDs provides a handy cover for homophobes to hate on homosexuals. I do not think it is any coincidence that those who oppose gay marriage, oppose gay adoption, oppose gay parenting, are outraged about people being forced to serve homosexuals in their business's- also happen to be deeply upset about AID's.

I am not the one blaming AIDs on homophobic beliefs- you were the one who said that there were studies that blamed AIDs on homophobic beliefs.

And then you dismissed the studies that you mentioned. I have never heard of any such studies except from you.

    1. Gays are okay. But it's kind of unfair to white straights that they (gays) have protected affirmative-action minority status. Oh well, no biggie.

    2. To help reduce the risk of getting AIDS just try to ignore them by staying away from public swimming pools.

    3. Also if they live in your immediate neighborhood, try to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.

    4. Gays have gotta be okay because Democratic President said so. He brought thousands of HIV-infected gays from Haiti to Miami. It triggered a global pandemic, but it's okay. In a Democratic socialist society, we're all family and must all learn to share the good and the bad. :clapping:

I know what you said... you are simply trying to play the victim card whereever you can. everything is homophobic to you....

But AIDs risk from gays affects straight white males too.... it's an indirect effect, but if a gay male gets aids, then gives it to his wife he still hasn't come out of the closet to, and after the divorce before she knows she has aids, she gets involved with..... (all just a hypothetical).... now, gays being careless about sex has become an issue to me

of course I should also use a condom but what if we get married, it affects me trying to have kids with her because I have to have unprotected sex with my wife that was affected by a gay with Aids.

or my wife cheats on me with a bi-sexual with AIDs

AIDs is not a cover to hide my homophobia behind... AIDs is a serious disease and 3% of the population accounts for 53% of new cases.... none of us live in a plastic bubble and the more AIDs out there, the more chance I have of getting it.

so when I ask "why are gays so much higher a risk group for AIDs and what can we do to stop it?" shouldn't be met with "you're just a homophobe hiding behind AIDs to hate homosexuals..."

No, that is just of course BS.

Yes- I do believe that AIDs provides a handy cover for homophobes to hate on homosexuals. You do know that straight white males have AID's also right? And that women do get AID's from straight white males?

Yes- most new cases of AID's are in the Gay community- but there are more Straight people with AIDs in America than Gay people with AIDs.

What if she is infected with Hep B or C by a white man?

I absolutely agree that Gay men should be practicing safe sex- and that includes using condoms, having fewer sexual partners, and having long term monogamous relationships- but those same things should be practiced by all persons- because AIDs does not discriminate.

but yet all you do is suggest questioning why gays have the most risk for AIDs is to immediately blamed on homophobic beliefs instead of calling out the gay community for spreading it.

So you're basing your entire argument on personal ignorance of genetics?...show me the gene for putting hair on your big toe, show me the gene that determines if you are an introvert or extrovert? ...That you can't doesnt mean they arent there as clearly they must because they're all inherited traits whether physical or behavioural....

show proof there is a gay gene, I would love to see it, because that's the first step in being able to correct it. otherwise, be happy rule 10 doesn't apply

It isn't the only option and anybody who engages in receptive intercourse should absolutely insist on barrier protection or shut up and live with the consequences be that HIV or pregnancy.

somewhere along the way even if it is a few steps away. IV drug abuse is also a source of the spread of the disease--needle sharing.

Ah so that is why you keep asking for gay gene- so you can 'correct it'.........

Discrimination is wrong, whether it is based upon genetics, personal choice or accident of birth.

just like with downs syndrome... even though it can be traced to a genetic defect, doesn't mean we discriminate against the people with it, today.... but understanding the causes, how to see it coming, what to do to prevent it, has been key in reducing the number of cases of a downs child.

surely you aren't suggesting, that if a study shows that drinking Monster Cola leads to gay kids, that we aren't allowed to say to pregnant women, "don't drink Monster" while they are pregnant, and then educate them on the risks, even if that includes having a gay kid as a risk..... are you?

    Unfortunately you advocate for discrimination.

That is why you say you support discrimination against homosexuals being allowed to be married because you don't believe that they should have tax breaks like my wife and I have.

no I don't, you are just confused on the definition of discrimination.... tax breaks are rights, is it age discrimination that I have to be 21 to drink, or 65 to collect social security? Or are privleges just that.... not rights and allowed to be restricted based on pre-existing conditions.

I am not confused at all.

My wife and I are married.

You do not believe that a homosexual couple should be treated equally with my wife and I.

You believe in discriminating against the homosexual couple.

behaviour is inherited and thats a fact, genetic studies confirm homosexuality is also inherited...the studies are there for anyone to read, refusing to research on your own is pathetic, no one will ever mistake you for being objective or inquisitive....you should be happy rule 10 doesn't apply making ludicrous claims with no evidence disputing scientific studies..

By denying the obvious is you're merely burying your head in the sand in order to avoid destroying your personal meme ....

you are saying that... you just aren't posting any proof of that... and noone could even before Rule 10 was eliminated.... which is why rule 10 was eliminated...

I deny it because I haven't been shown proof of that mythological gay gene
