With the news yesterday of Donnie Trump saying that the stimulous bill is way too cheap and he says it should be $2000 for each American you are asking me - "Hey PARTIZAN why isn't your thread being posted in Current Affairs??? Excellent question!

So what the hell is Trump trying to pull off here?
So any comments? Any ideas what evil Trump is attempting to pull off against the American people.

 

I already posted that I felt like he was just "on board" to look good for a 2024 run and that was shot down by other posters.

I cannot remember the keywords to do a search but IIRC someone said that Trump refused to negotiate any stimulus checks until after the election.

 

This just screams out that the Dems and Trump are on the same page - but for the sake of politics, he has to disagree with anything proposed by them.

This was Trump's way of getting a parting shot at McConnell and making putting Pelosi in a tough spot. If she supports this, then she bolsters 2024 chances.

 

He also said all the pork should be removed. This is basically a porkulous bill that Congress critters had 4-5 hours to read 5,000+ pages. Of course the Congress critters agreed on all the pork so won’t be willing to do the right thing. Funding for gender studies in Pakistan? Really?

 

There's quite a lot of that going on throughout recent history regardless of which party the president is. Democrats opposing something just because a Republican proposed it, Republicans opposing something just because a Democrat proposed it. No thought to the merits or non-merits of the proposal is give, just who proposed it.

 

I just don't get it. Democrats said, "here, take $600s and shut up".. Don't they think that's the end of all this??

 

I saw that Lindsey was "super serious" about that. I read that we're funding border walls and funding efforts to stem illegal aliens all over the middle east, while at the same time, defunding ICE and our border patrols funding. Shocking...

I just read your source article. $2000 per person? Oh yeah! And it's monthly as well??? Wow! I sure could use that kind of Windfall!

However, I don't see how that's going to pass through Congress in less than a week. So, it's a pipe dream

Many, many years ago they realized that there were just too many gringos to fight them all. So they hatched a plan. Mexicans would infiltrate the country, hiding their plot by working as nondescript construction laborers, farm workers, and hotel housekeepers. Doing the jobs the gringos didn’t want to do. So after much political wrangling which saw Bernie Sanders advocate for you to receive $1200 instead of the $600 the Republicans wanted you to have, we finally know who got the real money. Here's a list of who got what:

- $500,000,000 given to Israel to make Israel great again. This comes on top of the usual $3.3 billion they'll receive to build their military

- $10 million given to Pakistan for 'gender studies'. Another $15 million to Pakistan for 'democracy programs'. That's just what they want, American tranny politics in their religiously minded country.

- $4 billion to subsidize the public transit system in NYC, which most of us don't use.

- $250 million given to Palestinians, with the caveat that they have to give tons of concessions to Israel in order to receive the money, and the money can be rescinded by Israel if that country decides Palestinians aren't doing what they want. So Israel is essentially using Americans money to pay the Palestinians off. Nice.

- millions of dollars to erect a Latino museum in Washington DC.

Trump is demanding that congress increase the amount paid to Americans for stimulus relief, while also removing the foreign aid. That probably won't happen with a Democratic controlled congress, as evidenced by last year's budget demands which Trump signed, which gave $500 million to Planned Parenthood.

It should never pass Congress. My point was that The Trumpocity was not the first to cone up with the $2000 deal in any form. Trump fans believe his nonsense.

Yeah not going to lie this isn't going to end well with what Trump is doing. I hope it works out in the end, but if it doesn't? Then we get less than a slap across the face, we get nothing.

 

The only thing that Trump might be trying to do is keep Congress from going home to a Christmas dinner.

 

Personally, when I read it was a monthly check proposal, I thought that the Universal Basic Income group had decided they wanted a trial run in the USA to gather data.

 

EVERY DIME of this monstrosity should be going to the American people! We go through this crap with every spending bill that slithers out the swamp, instead of tut-tutting and wringing of hands it should be pitchforks and torches.....

 

I am in complete opposition to a universal basic income. They tried it in the Roman Empire how did that work out for them! I know that Thomas Payne had champianed a "universal" guaranteed income but not by that name. I have not read Tommy P's ranting in a while but I think that his plan was to have Americans share in the resources of the land.

 

Maybe too late I think that many gotten away since the facial recognition cameras are not able to distinguish them apart and those who do not wear face masks borrowed masks from their Democratic friends.

 

No one with even half a functioning brain believes for a microsecond that Trump gives a Schiest about the average American. We also know perfectly well that Trump is totally transactional therefore his "support for stimulous " is fake or has a poison pill cost to those who consume it.

There is no way Trump is apposed to foreign aid for Israel. There has never been any POTUS who is or was a great friend to Israel as Trump is. Of course he has done more for Afro-Americans than Lincoln and has done more to create the anti Covid vaccine than Pfizer or Madetna combined. Trump,is the greatest POTUS ever, just listen to him he will tell you he is every day and twice on Sunday.

 

I tend not to believe anyone that starts with a sentence like yours. Insulting half the population is a really questionable way to start a conversation.
As for you personally telling us what Trump's beliefs are is laughable. You have been an anti-Trumper from day one so declaring yourself a self appointed expert on him is to be taken with a large dosage Jack Daniels.
