The House Judiciary Committee plans to hold public hearings as soon as October on President Donald Trump’s alleged role in hush-money payments to two women during the 2016 election

Daniel Goldman, the former federal prosecutor and NBC News analyst now advising the House Intelligence Committee, wrote in December that “based on what we know right now … as well as my decade of experience as a prosecutor in the SDNY, I believe there is sufficient evidence to charge Donald Trump” with campaign finance violations because the payments were designed to silence the women in order to boost Trump’s election chances.

Democrats believe the hush-money scandal is an easier and clearer case to present to the public than the question of whether Trump obstructed the Russia investigation, the aide said.

Uh yah, about time.... While one man is in prison and 2 others reportedly have immunity deals on this topic, the alleged ringleader has yet to be put through any formal investigation.

I fully agree with the premise above that this sort of illegality can be followed easier than the Russia/OOJ/Mueller information. Sex always sells, and while the sex isn't at the core of the issue, it's always on standby.

Potential Witnesses - Pecker, Davidson, Weisselberg?? I imagine they'll spring Cohen for a day or 2 as well??

I wonder if they can get Stormy up there for a day? Although I'm not sure what she can add to the hush money payment factor, how can you pass THAT up??

    Thoughts?

Trump is obstructing justice into potential hearings as to whether he obstructed justice... while that grinds through the courts, you can certainly go for plan B. Just because this isn't as important as the stuff you mentioned, doesn't mean it wasn't illegal and deserving of our complete attention. It will have mine..

Always remember, it was Tax Evasion that got Al Capone 11 years in the pen despite the high probability he personally killed...

Congressmen need to stay abreast of that situation. Will Stormfront interview her? She way have some interesting points to make.

I don’t follow, are they only allowed to try to determine if 2 things were crimes per term? Are you against oversight in general? Just for trump?

Yeah.. I hear ya.... a more likely scenario is that Trump will be told Stormy in in Congress and he'll tweet something about FEMA aid to the Stormy ravaged areas.....

Hahahaha! A politically corrupt former SNDY prosecutor working for the company that owns MSNBC says that there is a case against Trump when two separate judges have already not only said that there is no case against Trump, but each time they fined Stormy Daniels instead? Sweet!

Uh yeah, no defamation case.... nobody has remotely ruled on the campaign finance violation because charges cannot be brought against a sitting president. Or do you somehow not know that?

And remember, this isn't a LEGAL exploration....

Another waste of time and money by sore loser Democrat scumbags.

We know Trump doesn't have the best morals... get over it already.

At worst, this will amount to a campaign finance violation, and Trump will pay the fine out of the change cup of his Air Force One chair.

Most likely this will get dismissed, because Trump has a history of paying tramps to shut their traps that goes back before his presidential aspirations, so the very-valid argument can be made that hooker hush money is Trump's SOP, and not a specific thing he did related to his POTUS campaign.

And then there's the whole "can't indict a sitting President" sticky wicket.

"Are you against oversight in general? Just for trump?"

Gonna get some good mileage from this quote if a Democrat becomes president and Republicans return the investigate everything favor

For the third time, nobody is linking this news with a possible indictment... it's Congress, not the SDNY..

The democrats seem to want to hold public hearings on anything related to Trump - except of course how the investigation started in the first place.

I might just get some decent mileage with you assuming Republicans will control any chamber after 2020, for years to come..

    I like it.
As is usually the case, the cover up is worse than the crime. I think this one qualifies as a felony, which would be more than enough for a high crime.
The irony is it will be Trump's buddies throwing him under the bus.
Senate Republicans are probably already drawing straws to see who can vote for impeachment and who can't.

I hear that's out mid-September, in plenty of time for your embarrassment to fade away before October.

    :roflol:

The Horowitz Report is a Complete JOKE (and everybody knows it).

Even the usually gullible Fever Swampers realize that the Horowitz Report is a Big Nothingburger.

    The Horowitz Report? :roflol: :bored:

Really .... That seems unrealistic. What does seem realistic is the phrase turn about is fair play.dems will get this same treatment and clutch their pearls with fake indignation
