Ok so first things first, this wasn't "President Joe Biden's" package. I know the MSM wants to fluff the crap out of this to make it seem like he has actually accomplished something but Pres Biden had almost nothing to do with this bill. In fact the only major element from his campaign that is event half-way included is the 3rd stimulus check that Pres Biden promised time and time again would be $2000... and of course its not... and of course he's saying nothing. A lot of you don't like Pres Trump but at least he fought for that amount in every way he could. Pres Biden hasn't so much as even reaffirmed his commitment to it because his handlers have told him not to.

So no $2000, and of course the MSM and undoubtedly every Democrat voter here is giving them a total pass on that. But hey they managed to force in that $15/hr bullshit which has LITERALLY NOTHING to do with COVID relief. But then of course neither does $1.1 of the $1.9 trillion dollar monies this pork obese monstrosity contains. Oh what fun it will be to watch the Senate try to ram this through via reconciliation even after the parliamentarian has explicitly stated it cannot be done as the minimum wage is not a budget item and thus reconciliation does not apply.

We can only hope they kept it under half a billion. It seems that the House chamber entertained every single possible motion brought by Democrats, no matter how absurd, no matter how wildly irreverent to COVID, and no matter how obvious the corruption or cronyism or campaign kickback influence was. The word from the floor is that Dems strutted around clucking 'we have a mandate' every time one of their bloviated pork wishes was challenged. What I laugh at most is that I'm not going to pay for this, all these radicalized foolish young people will. Their generation will see middle class tax rates in the high 50s, not us, and apparently they couldn't he happier to go down this route so - oh well.

They can't hyper inflate the dollar fast enough as they pay off Silicon Valley, Billionaires, and Oligarchs throughout the U.S. Why is over 2/3 if this spend not about Covid-19 relief? The stupid millennials voting for these scumbags are going to be the one paying the bill.

They should rename the bill the "Pelosi Payoff".

This package is ****ing criminal. The true value of any Bill is if anyone wouodnvotenfornit in its own. If you need to PORK stuff it with 1000 other garbage useless wastes of money it was not worth it in the first place.

    CASE CLOSED.

If a $15 minimum wage couldn’t pass on its own it should ****ING pass in this anti American pos package. And we shouldn’t be giving a dime to any foreign entity that isn’t directly related to our safety.

He has accomplished something. The bill was never going to pass while Trump’s people were in power, as evidenced by the 100% Republican vote against it...

Everyone's favorite Arrogant Obnoxious Communist has been doing the live-stream circuit ranting up a storm about how the minimum wage issue not being admissible per the rules of reconciliation is "literally a debatable matter of opinion", her words. But of course ol' Bug Eyes is wrong, again, as the rules of the reconciliation procedure in the US Senate are clear.

Gotta love it when people have to resort to name-calling those they oppose!

Clearest sign they’ve lost the argument.....

What does this accomplish other than give incentives for people to not work and dole out money to state and local governments who should be funding their own spending instead of having some states pay for that of the others? The economy is set of STRONG growth without this. The biggest thing holding it back are the shutdowns which if not are are quickly becoming unnecessary and paying more in unemployment benefits than people were earning before. This bill got no Republican support because it is Democrats handing out money to their supporters and voters in order to keep that support and those votes.

Not true re support for the bill. As has been pointed out several times, the bill received 60% support from Republican voters. This is not a case of Dems looking after their own...it’s probably an example of one of the most bipartisan pieces of financial legislation........except amongst Congress.

The other point to consider is that virtually every dollar of this relief will go into the economy, unlike the last 2 trillion giveaway to the Donald’s billionaires.....

You'll find that I refer to every official here with their proper title save for two specific exclusions: Florida Governor MoRon DeathSantis and NY14 Rep Arrogant Obnoxious Communist. These two are so destructive, so sinister, so ignorant, and so flat out dumb that I see no reason whatsoever to regard them with anything but the mockery they deserve.

But in this case you'll have to tell me how I've "lost the argument". AOC is clearly wrong, not only from an exact reading of the rules of reconciliation she thinks are debatable but also according to the expert knowledge of the non-partisan Senate parliamentarian. She is wrong, but she doesn't like that, and so shes trying to cloud the issue with pseudo-intellectual rhetoric. I actually know why [some] Democrats want this challenge to be successful. You see, the rule governing what reconciliation can be used on is not the only rule; the key provision they want removed is that there is in fact a limit on how many times per year such a procedure can be invoked. Now doesn't that just put a damper on plans of Democrats to ram through everything on their legislative calendar sans Republican filibuster and/or 60 vote majority.

Gotta love it when democrats shut down businesses and then want tax payers to fix their mistake.

That’s like saying...” I always behave appropriately...except for those two people I spit on every day on my way to work...”

No one should consider your ‘arguments’ further, until you clean up your act...

Oh oh oh oh oh, I know. It equals 'QAnon conspiracy' since obviously $2000 was never promised by any 2020 Democratic Party President, Senator, or Representative currently in power to pass such a measure.

    (did I win?)

No, I won. I wanted to flush out your deliberately misleading statements about the $2000 & I have. The Dems wanted $2000, the GOP Senate only agreed to $600. The other $1400 is now on its way. Promise kept.

I think its safe to assume other statements of your are similarly misleading.
