Don't know how NT could go broke...all you need is a croc cull every couple of years in Kakadu and sufficient gaols to house the indigenous crims….simple.. But then again, South Australia has been sorry arsed broke for years, so maybe it'd be a good idea.... Maybe the polished turd that just announced the Qld budget could be approached for some advice on how to run a State...but then again isnt Qld is fast becoming the Illinois of Australia, what with the plundering of the Qld Super funds and the selling off of all Qld assets etc etc...so maybe approaching Qld politicians isn't such a good idea.... And of course, Qld, like Victoria is raising taxes to compensate for all the revenue lost in stamp duty for real estate transactions which aren't occurring any more.... But but but.....isn't Australias economy going gangbusters...... This country is fuked and the politicians keep on lying about the economy, the unemployment rate, and where the money is being spent... And the moron that runs the RBA comes out and reduces interest rates to increase inflation...meaning he wants us all to pay more for everything...and the politicians get a pay rise...at the same time weekend penalty rates are being cut... Oh but didn't they just put up the minimum wage.... Does anyone know what theyre doing..... Oh yes...stimulate the real estate market so the elites and the oligarchs investment properties increase in value...great stuff... Will the reduction in interest rates be of any benefit to anyone....of course not.... But watch the rates go to zero within a few years as the worldwide economy resets.... No government in Australia really knows what theyre doing except legislating for the oligarchs and the elites..... And we still have the bank bail in legislation to take our bank deposits from us..... But I digress....
so Northern Territory who has to borrow money to pay public service wages and interest on its debt, wants to merge with South Australia... but Central Australia wants no part in it... And part of Victorias money grab is their new luxury car tax..... I own a ute with winding windows, a terrible audio syatem, plastic flooring, no A/C as standard, no ABS, etc. It is hit by the luxury car tax. Absolutely ridiculous.
mine probably will be too it's almost antique, actually it is antique... just over 25 years old BMW ... I love my car, but how can they justify luxury car tax on a car this age... come on. My rego is almost $800 a year it's ridiculous
