Atlanta is predominantly non-white, multicultural and the most liberal place imaginable.

There is no such thing, however, as a sanctuary city. If a person is wanted for federal crimes, the FBI can come to any city, county or state facility where the accused is being held and take them into custody.

Everything else is window dressing. You cannot force local jurisdictions to enforce federal law. The feds can't roust anyone unless they have probable cause. The only thing that is happening is that Trump can withhold federal funds if local jurisdictions don't automatically turn over undocumented foreigners once they are processed in for a suspected crime.

So, let him do so. The states can then either comply with what the feds want OR forfeit federal funding and get their money from the state. News flash: Once the states figure out it is actually cheaper to tax their citizens and fund from the local level, all 50 states might become "sanctuary states" and it still won't mean anything.

It's only a sanctuary for Mexican cartels. The hotel maids and lawn maintenance people are on their own.
