This would have been a good post for a poll, but I have my reasons for never posting another poll on this forums system. So anyway, it would be interesting to understand just what the average Left of Center poster is thinking right now in regards to Bernie Sanders.

Let's begin by assuming that Bernie EARNS the nomination whether or not the DNC allows him to have it.

Is it going to be good for the Party and its chances for winning the presidency?

Is it going to be a disaster and automatically hand the re-election to Trump?

If Bernie does become the nominee do our Left of Center posters finally acknowledge the the end goal of the NEW Dem Party is some variation of serious socialism?

Do moderates still have any place in the Dem Party whatsoever -- aside from being tokens?

#FireChrisMatthews is trending today because he compared a Bernie win to Nazi's marching through France. But here is the thing, my prediction is that if Bernie wins the nomination, Democrats will put aside their differences and support him, even Chris Matthews. The cable news shows will be supporting Sanders 24/7 until the election.

So my guess is that it won't be much different regardless of who wins the nomination, the important thing is to stop Trump.

That's my take on this as well. Supposed ethics will once again be collectively shunted aside in favor of a 'the ends justifies the means' mindset. But we shall see.

As for Chris we should know very soon if he has finally had enough of leftist radicalism or if once again he will desperately prove himself to his masters by launching hysterical attacks against the Right while pointing out that -- on second thought -- Bernie is fine in his political book.

Well I'm going to go on record now and say that if Bernie gets the nomination Chris will be an enthusiastic supporter.

It's the safe money bet. One notices that our Left of Center posters are determined to avoid this OP. One wonders . . . why.

Apparently pretty good so far. At least that is what the election results show. What could be more entertaining than Sanders v. Trump?

Good questions. Let's see, if a non-Democrat is the Democrat candidate for president does it help Democrats and/or the DNC? Hmmmmm. That's a tough one.

Trump will win in a landslide whether Bernie is his opponent or it turns out to be one of the other ragamuffins.

Whether the moderates have a future in the party all depends on when, if ever, they snap out of their what-the-hell-just-happened funk.

If I felt the way I did after the last election I probably would hold my nose and voted for President Trump or not vote, but President Trumps supporters on this site as well as what the President has said has convinced me that I may need to hold my nose and vote for Sanders.

If Bernie does win the nomination the Dem Party will then officially become the Party of Marxism -- since socialism has long been acknowledged as just the gateway drug to that ideology. We are entering interesting times as the Dem Party officially becomes what every thinking person has known for decades now that they were struggling to become all along . . . the ideological inheritors of the fallen Soviet Union.

Certainly Russia is backing Sanders and we KNOW how much the political Left believes that as Russia goes the route to the presidency goes.

The President just said Russian involvement is “Another misinformation campaign is being launched by Democrats in Congress...", but that is not my point. The Republicans and the President's supporters have been unable to moderate or even accept criticism of some of his less lucid decisions. I guess that I am banking that Congress will hold Sanders on a shorter leash.
Besides how could anybody expect me to support anyone whose followers don't want my support?

Ummmm . . . the same people who impeached Trump over made up charges and with zero pertinent evidence are going to keep radical leftist socialist/Marxist Bernie sanders on any sort of leash whatsoever? Really?

Indeed, and one notices that no leftist -- those few who have dared respond -- bothered to even try and address any of the questions.

I am recruiting everyone I know to cast a vote for Komrad Bernie Freeshit Sanders on super Tuesday.
There would never been a more clear direction for this country to move forward than a Trump vs. Sanders election.

I am hoping Sanders would do us all the courtesy of selecting Fauxhontas as his running mate. Their campaign slogan,
"Two frauds are better than one"

The trite misleading meme is getting, well, trite and tiresome. The president does not say that Russian involvement in our elections is a misinformation campaign. He asserts that Russian involvement in our elections to help Trump is the gross misinformation that is fostered on the public.

One sees that none of our replying Left of Center posters are willing to address any of the OP's questions. That in itself is very interesting.

I'm not going to vote for Sanders, but I will laugh my ass off knowing that every bit of power that Trump supporters have been handing to the office of President will suddenly be Bernie's if he wins. And if he was running against anyone but Trump - I wouldn't give him a chance. But the anti-Trump
    vote is strong.

If he wins, we will have a time of civil disobedience, tax, speech and gun rights sanctuaries. At least half of our nation, and the majority of our country, simply won't comply. Unless the socialists are willing to go one on one, there's simply not enough of them to make that kind of a change.

The rich liberal donors are not going to back Bernie, there is nothing in it for them, and they'll use their influence to keep Bernie out of the White House. For those folks Trump is better. Bernie's nomination will have some far reaching consequences when it comes to the money side of DNC politics...
