    I'm used to just highlighting the desired link - URL, clicking "copy" once it's highlighted, then Ctrl V into my forum comment. That doesn't seem to work on this forum. Would someone be kind enough to tell me how you do it here on PF?

    That should work. For example I just press <CTRL> C and then <CTLR> V to copy and paste this link to Youtube.

    https://www.youtube.com/

    If that does not work you can click on the chain link icon at the top of the tool bar, (7th icon from the left for me), and insert the link by pasting it there that way like this example:

    https://www.youtube.com/

    I think they should both be identical.

    @cristiansoldier is right.

    The only clarification would be that simply copying and pasting will only work if your link includes the "https://" and/or "www." (since that is how it automatically works out it is a URL).

    Using the "Link" button should work with any URL.

    Thank you both!
    I tested both methods in comment 4, above, and each method does take me to the link.
    When I tried to post a link earlier today, I was confused as the text displayed didn't appear like a link to me. It just looked like text, like my second example in comment 4 here. Maybe I failed to even test it, just thinking it hadn't worked when it is, indeed, a link.
    Thanks again.
