How do you get rid of "Video Description" on PBS programs?

All of a sudden, PBS programs like "Nova" and "Nature" have a "Video Description" feature that CANNOT be turned off!

I've double-checked to make certain that "Video Description" is turned OFF through my Samsung TV's internal 'menu' settings, and I've also made certain that a separate "Video Description" is turned OFF though my Xfinity cable-provided settings also.

This is really aggravating as HELL! It totally ruined a really good program on "Nature" about Big Bend National Park. The next program up was "Nova", and I'll be damned if it didn't ruin it, too!

In addition to the 'normal' audio track, there's this accompanying 'video description' track that tells you (in a voice that makes your skin crawl and sometimes overlaps the main audio track) what is being shown on the screen.

I'm not Einstein, but I'm perfectly able to change settings for all tv-watching functions -- until NOW.

Also -- I tried all kinds of manipulation of 'closed-captioning', 2nd Audio languages, etc. Nothing I did would get rid of these 'video-descriptions', either internal to the TV itself or in the cable box settings! :wall:

Is this just some damned weirdo thing that PBS is doing now? I don't notice this "forced-feed" phenomenon on any other channel. On all the others, this function is OPTIONAL, if you want it, but can be turned off easily. Please help!
