I can somewhat agree, however the thing that scares me about a flat tax is that democrats will start it out at 10% or 15% and in no time once they are in power it would jump to 25% overnight. then up and up and up. It would get out of hand immediately, that is as sure as the sun coming up.

They are all done by private enterprise BECAUSE governments have mandated them and customer taxpayers are willing to pay for them.Auto makers didn't install seat belts until government mandated them.Contractors will not patch and fix roads until they have a government contract that says they'll get paid.

Cheating on taxes is stealing. Millionaires and billionaires who cheat on taxes are responsible for the loss of tens of thousands of lives.

 

If they are cheating on taxes, wouldn't the IRS and other government authorities catch the cheating and make them pay what is legally owed?
