Family life may have been more secure before the age of feminism and the decline of traditional family values since the 1960s could be attributed to the Women's Liberation Movement which freed men from marriage commitment according to the author. Allow me to fill in the OPs other half that in no way was meant to be sarcastic. Which pre-war era were these women denied equal educational opportunities? My guess is that you're alluding to the pre Civil War era, for I can't seem to find any policy or law that denied women the opportunity to seek higher education before or after any of our modern day wars.

If a woman has a phd and makes 200k a year, she simply is not going to be sexually attracted to some common working class shlub, which is 90% of men. So her dating pool shrinks.

Since the 10% a men left in her social stratum tend to be wealthy, they date women half their age and beautiful, leaving the women who spent the entirety of their fertile years in school and pursuing careers out in the cold without a mate they find sexuall attractive and these "non-submissive women" as you put it, won't "settle".

Men of high social status simply do not date women their own age becuase women their own age are repugnant to a man who can have playboy playmate type beauty with the snap of a finger.

The species is not going to go extinct any time soon. Those women who feel that raising a child is worth the emotional commitment will continue to do so. Those who can find nobody more willing than you to help them do so will probably not bother.

We are already reproducing faster than the earth can absorb he detritus of what we do to feed and house ourselves.

There are plenty of people elsewhere to move in to fill the niche.
