    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Trump got elected because.
    1. Obama and the Democrats have devastated the Democrat party and Obama left them broke and they had crooked Hillary who tried to buy her way into the DNC and the WH.
    2. The Democrats don't have a message and the message they have is open borders and free health care for everyone. People understood that won't work.
    3. People were getting sick and tired of socialist ways of favoring illegals and dumping on citizens.
    4. People were getting sick and tired of political correctness and liberal policies that don't work.
    Trump is going to make America is great again. Obama couldn't get more than 2% GDP and Trump is already at 3. He got rid of a lot of regulations that were harming business and his tax cuts will make the economy boom like no other. Democrats will be in ruins for a long time. People who can't get over this will be in straight jackets.
    Obama will be noted for being the worst president in History. President Carter is exhaling a sigh of relief.
    I trust that's your opinion and there's nothing to back it up.
    Criticism of Drumpf is factual in nature. It's his followers who reflexively defend him, not by affirmatively justifying his ignorance, but by deflecting attention away from it.
    Trump was elected by people that were ticked about Democrats running ops (Fast and Furious) that attempted to undermine the 2nd amendment. Trump was elected by people that were ticked off by a Democrat prez calling the police "stupid." Trump was elected by people that were ticked off by Democrats making it legal for your twelve year old daughter to share a washroom with a tranny. Trump was elected by people that were ticked off by an administration that couldn't get the economy to stagger up to 3% for any of the last 8 years. Trump was elected by people that had a mountainous stack of reasons to elect Trump. Try to keep up.
    You are, of course, joking. Straight out of the Trump playbook and every bit of it is a distortion of the truth.
    IMHO, Election 2016 was more about who didn't show up to vote than who did. In most states, it was primarily disgusted Democrats who stayed home.
    How is it possible that Trump got elected?
    I didn't read this thread....don't have the time....but the answer is easy....stupidity pandemic....including the feminist supremacists that are destroying the liberal party.
    Bernie would be POTUS if Hillary and Schulz hadn't tried a secret takeover of the DNC.
    I see. Is that why "Clinton received more votes than Obama did in his 2012 victory, according to data from the National Archives."
    Is that why, "In fact, aside from Obama's 2008 win, Clinton received more votes than any other US presidential candidate in history."
    Once again, a Trumpian makes himself look foolish. They do that quite often.
    James Comey was the main reason Trump was elected. Clinton was doing just fine, according to the polls. Then, eleven days before the election Comey re-opened the investigation of her. During the week before the election, her lead melted away.
    She lost the Electoral College vote because of 100,297 popular votes in WI, MI, and PA out of nearly 140,000,000 votes cast.
    Trump was lucky, really lucky.
    So, are you saying that Trump's base is opposed to tax reform that will add 1.5 to 2.2 million dollars to the National Debt? Funny, that is not what I have heard from them.
    "Among Republicans, 69 percent back the House bill and 10 percent oppose it." https://www.politico.com/story/2017/11/22/poll-house-tax-plan-184169
    One of two things is true. Either you just made that up, or none those Republicans in the survey are members of Trump's base.
    Or, all of sudden, "true conservatives" are embracing the idea of adding to the National Debt.
    There is a correlation, but a poor one, between Republicans and constitutional conservatives.
    We were discussing the difference between true conservatives and Trump Republicans. Wise of you to change the subject when pinned down and asked to support your unwise statement.
    Trump has complained repeatedly that he inherited the terrorist problem from the previous administration. He did so again over the Thanksgiving holiday. "“They say we’ve made more progress against ISIS than they did in years of the previous administration."
    Aw, poor baby. He inherited problems from the previous administration just like every other American President since John Adams who assumed the American leadership after George Washington. Is Trump so foolishly naive that he expected a clean slate? What a moron.
    George W.Bush inherited the terrorist problem from the numerous administrations that preceded him that was so severe it resulted in the most serious attack on American soil in our history, 9/11. You never heard Bush complaining about how he inherited the problem. Unlike Trump, Bush did not wish to blame previous Presidents for his problem.
    Obama inherited two long disastrous wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, along with the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. Does this even begin to compare to the problems Trump inherited? Once he became President, Obama went to work solving these problems, not blaming the previous administration.
    No doubt about it. Republicans have a problem. What are they going to do with this wacko?
    On Friday night, Donald Trump proclaimed that he would probably be Time's "Person of the Year" for 2017 -- except that he didn't really want the honor.:roflol:
    "Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named 'Man (Person) of the Year,' like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot," Trump tweeted. "I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!"
    That statement wasn't, strictly speaking, true.
    "The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year," a Time spokeswoman said in a statement. "Time does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6."
    "Amazing," tweeted Time's chief content officer, Alan Murray. "Not a speck of truth here — Trump tweets he 'took a pass' at being named TIME's person of the year."
    There are times when Trump is really funny. He thoroughly enjoys acting like an idiot.
    To Trumpians: This is the man you wanted to be our next our next President. You got your wish. Congratulations. Are you proud of yourselves?
    You are the one that keeps bollixing it up with your view of who is who. Trump's base is predominately "true" conservatives and quasi true conservatives. Very little of his base are elite powerhouse Republican. His base is not in favor of expanding the debt by a couple of trillion dollars, but such expansion doesn't bother establishment Republicans all that much. George W. Bush was by far the biggest spending president until Obama showed up and beat the crap out of him. There is no way that 69% of his base supports raising the debt that much.
    I could ask what it is you don't comprehend about Trump's base, but it is an academic question: Liberals, Democrats, and establishment Republicans have not understood the base, and likely never will.
    It's better to be lucky than good. And I have trouble believing that James Comey reopening an investigation that almost everyone had made their minds up about made a difference anyway.
