how many countries has iran attacked

in the last say.........500 years ? the answer is one. and america told them to do it and armed both sides. they also told iraq to attack iran. compare that to how many israel has attacked in the last 50 years, often without any provocation at all. israel has nuclear weapons, though they refuse to sign the non-proliferation treaty, and iran doesnt. so which one is the threat to world peace again ?

Its not about them using a nuke its about proliferation.

If Iran gets it you can be assured that Saudi Arabia will want them followed by Iraq and Kuwait, and further down the road by Egypt. There is also a chance that Iran will spread their technology over to friends in the West such as Venezuela and Cuba. Do you really want nukes sitting that close to America.

Look how quickly Pakistan ramped up their program after India got nukes.

I'm actually all for a nuclear armed Middle East because, given the tension over there, the odds of a nuke war going off is extremely high and in my view that would rid the world of a huge problem area. However, the US policy is against proliferation overall.

Israel is our little puppet which we totally control. Its basically like another State. They would never launce a nuke without our permission because we would pull support and they would be swallowed up by the wolves surrounding them. Why do you think that they sat on their ass and did nothing when Saddam was launching scuds into their country.

Its because we told them to sit down and shut up. We don't have that control over other nations in the Middle East with the exception of some strong pull in Saudi Arabia. Even that is tenuous at best.

I would actually assume that Israel doesn't even have the launch codes for their nukes and that they are controlled by either Britain or the US.

Yes its ok as long as we have a direct say in their use.

Israel may talk tough some times but they have never gone against the US and never will. 90% of all our foreign aid goes to them and Egypt and they couldn't survive without our support. They know this.

You have to look at their internations relations as a whole. They do what we tell them to and always have.

They would not have launched a war with Egypt if we told them not to.

look up 'nuclear ambiguity' that defines israels nuclear policy, agreed with the usa. its basically 'dont ask us any questions and we wont have to tell you any lies'. they are the only country in the world who has nuclear weapons who havent signed the non proliferation agreement.
