    Uh huh.

Wait until the might is right comes back to bite Americans on the arse, when they start taking away more of their civil rights...

    Then Americans will moan.

    Too late.

If their state have the might, they have the right.

Its not a solution it is simply the way it is and the way its always been.

Your vision of a utopia does not exist.

    Not true.

Nodding Yahoo says that 'Israel are the US greatest ally, in the ME'.

Before Israel, the US had no enemies, in the ME!

    Join the dots...

its not the way it is, thats why we have the un, its the way it was in the first half of the 19th century, thats why we had two world wars. its a primitive and undeveloped attitude that leads to constant conflict, which ends up with terrorists coming to your home town. if thats what you want keep down that path cause thats the only place it can end.

    Wow.

We were enemies with the Ottoman Empire or did you skip over that little bit of history?

Do you recall the Barbary pirates we went to war with?

**sigh** the lack of historical knowledge on this forum is frustrating.

Pop quiz. What's the only country in the world that has ever used nuclear weapons to kill people?

Israel provides a benefit for their welfare which is a point in the Middle Ease from which we can operate. Welfare recipients in the US are simply a drain with nothing in return.

You obviously have the mindset of Kenneth Waltz. I can assure you that classical realist prescriptions to the Iran nuclear debacle do not adequately explain all the possibilities involved. I certainly concur with the notion that the prevention of large-scale conflict can occur with a nuclear armed Middle East, but from that will come the leveraging of small-scale and covert skirmishes. In addition, there is still greater probability of Iran hedging the costs of the power of a prospective nuclear arsenal by providing it to a terrorist organization such as Hezbollah. The chances of this happening are greatly exceeded by the chances of small-scale open or covert conflict, but nevertheless, the threat remains.

I just told you but I'll tell you again if you want. It provides us an access port to the Middle East from which we can operate in both military and covert operations. Mossad works very closely with the CIA in the region and having Israel allows us better access to the region then we would have if Israel didn't exists. I've little doubt that this is the main reason we support them.

The issue with Palestine or other political problems they create are irrelevant to our main goals of access. If we didn't have Israel it would far more difficult for us to use resources over there.

Oh god, you and someone else should get together, and write a fiction book about this.

And Hezbollah are not a 'terrorist' org.

actually mossad point blank refuses to work with the intelligence agencies of any other country with one exception - britain's mi6. their opinion is that mi6 is the only security service good enough to work with. they dont work with the cia, ever, and america does not use israel as a base for anything, you have many other bases in the region much less controversial than israel.

so if you have no doubt thats the main reason you support them you are completely wrong, the reasons you just listed arent even true, none of that happens. the reason you support them is just very simply 1 - ignorance and 2 - the jewish lobby in washington.

Yes I am a realist and I may have embellished when I said they would share technology. From my point of view they would not do that as its not in the states best interest of security. I don't feel that Iran would abuse their nuclear technology because it gives them credibility as a major player but I still do contend that it will ultimately lead to a state of proliferation in the ME and at its basic level I believe that the more nukes that are out there the more the probability goes up of them being used.

In total however I do not feel the Iran nuclear issue is one to be overly concerned about.

According to the United States Department of State, Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. Furthermore, the probability that Iran provides nuclear material to a terrorist group is slim. Surely a reasonable forum poster could decipher such by reading the entire statement rather than picking out certain phrases.

hezbollah is a very well respected, wealthy and hugely supported political organisation based in lebanon. they are not a terrorist organisation, despite what list they might have been put on. they have a military wing which has carried out terrorist attacks but theyre a lot more than just a terrorist organisation, they have their own tv channel and everything, social programmes etc.

    They are a terrorist state.

Yeah, USS Liberty, the Lavon Affair, the spy Jonathan Pollard. None of these were actions against America! Wake up; your 'ally' is playing you like a piano.

Israel spy on American tech, then sell it to the Chinese..

The Dept of Homeland Sec is full of Zionist Jews.

The former head, Michael Chertoff, his mother was in Mossad.

Then you have the former chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel...which army did he serve in?

    ;)
