How many people who are NOT citizens of the UK, think Scotland should be independent

If the Scottish people want independence then who are the UK to stop them?

 

Braveheart is possibly the most historically inaccurate movie ever made that pretends to be actually true. The flaws are the stuff of legend.

My Grandparents were from Invernesshire and I think this nationalist stuff is nonsense

 

Where on earth do you get the opinion that the UK is trying to stop them? Indeed the UK is actually facillitating a vote where Scotland can decide whether it wants independence or not and it happens in autumn next year. There is a consistent clear majority of eligable Scottish voters who do not want independence however there is probably a majority of Scots who would like Scotland to be further devolved.

Personally I think the UK should be a federal state ,with Scotland one of those states, with governmental business other than Defence, Monetary policy, foriegn affairs, certain issues to do with crime/ human rights and intra provincial liason to be held at the provincial level including the Bulk of taxation.

 

But thats because you cosider yourself English!

I am American, not a citizen of the UK as we fought for independence from them and defeated their tyranny of our country men.

My thoughts are that if Scotland wants its independence, it should do the same as America and become a gun owning nation and organize militias.

That is the only way Prince William will grant independence to the Scottish lads.

 

Why do Americans specialise in being so utterly ignorant of other countries? The incredible thing is that you call yourself a liberal and want Scotland to decend into a civil war.

If Scotland, or more accurately the People of Scotland, want independence they can vote for it in the referendum that will be called next year. If there is a majority then independence will be granted.

The Scottish assembly cannot 'allow' gun owning. It has requested a referendum and will get one.

What on Earth has The Duke of Cambridge go to do with it?
