There is nothing "snobby" about accurately citing the demographic reality. It is what it is.

I clearly noted that "Honestly acknowledging differing voting patterns of various demographic metrics - age, gender, race, geography, etc. - does not demean anyone."

When did I ever refer to anyone being "uneducated"? In fact, I corrected another poster who made the same false charge in my Post #5: "Your use of the term 'uneducated,' like Trump's calling them 'poorly educated,' is not accurate. 'Less-educated' is the more precise designation. Non-college whites were far more likely to approve of Trump’s performance than white college graduates."

What prevents you from citing the data concerning the voting patterns of young, well-educated, non-White females - or any other demographic?

You were VERY enthused about Clinton. Why do you insist on making up bullshit? You Campaigned for her on here...Do you want to review your own threads?

I'll be happy to do so!

I realize too that only college stands for education. Experience in a profession stands for nothing. Hundreds of professional courses mean nothing since they do not award degrees. Being once approved to teach professional courses by the State of CA means nothing.

So i agree. How did the genius class lose the election?

If you are upset by the empirical data that I posted:

"Clinton outpolled Trump by a full 21 points (57 percent to 36 percent) among all college graduates, by 17 points (55 percent to 38 percent) among white grads, and by 26 points (61 percent to 35 percent) among white female grads."

"Trump carried non-college-grad whites overwhelmingly (perhaps by as much as 40 points)".

...and feel that you need a diversion from it, please do.

It's the same attitude every time it's brought up: A liberal points out some study that showed less educated whites prefer Trump, insinuating that only dumb white people like him, while at the same time, ignoring the plentiful data of that minority groups with high rates of poverty, welfare dependency, and college drop out rates prefer Democrats hands down.

The only reason to bring this up is elitist snobbery.

That is your conclusion. The empirical data that confirms that less-educated whites, traditionally a Democratic constituency, voted for Trump in impressive numbers -

"Trump carried non-college-grad whites overwhelmingly (perhaps by as much as 40 points)"
... in no way justifies your claim that "only dumb white people like him."

Doesn't speak well of our school system, does it?
How many people living on government assistance voted for Trump?

Vote Democrat and get an honorary Doctorate from a college of your choice.

But, Robert. These guys have degrees in gender studies or other victim studies. They've completed their indoctrination into the society of the aggrieved.

The last graduation I went to was my daughter's from Hiram. Sherrod Brown gave the commencement address to mostly graduates in African American Studies, Women Studies, Hispanic Studies. While those graduates may fall under your definition of educated, they are clearly indoctrinated leftists with the potential to add nothing to society. Proof is that leftists are all in convincing victims that their degrees in (name a victim) Studies has some earthly value.

The US is an increasingly diverse nation in which most recognize the value of education, for both the nation and the individual.

"An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people."
The Hiram College syllabus offers a wide range of major and minor disciplines, but "African American Studies", "Women Studies", and "Hispanic Studies" are not among them.

    You appear to be indoctrinated.

From the Hiram Web Page. I didn't need indoctrination. I was at the graduation somewhere around 2010. It appears that they figured out the obvious: There is no market for grievance studies.

None of these are offered as major or minor disciplines at Hiram College. Your attack on higher education via an anecdote of eight years vintage is silly.

Why are you referencing your personal academic critique of one small college, eight years ago, with no evidence that degrees in any any of the fields you cite were ever offered there, as your challenge to the vital role of higher education elucidated by Jefferson and still applicable today?

Regardless of your contempt for academic achievement in the US, it is reflected in the relative success of states as well as individuals in financial and other quality-of-life metrics.

Education is good. Which of the 50 states is advocating less education for its residents?

Yes, I was among the 2.8 million more Americans who voted for Clinton in 2016, and was, like most (except for Michael Moore), surprised that she failed to carry the electoral vote.

I did not "campaign for her" because I had reservations about her candidacy, and did no expect a reality tv performer to get more electoral votes than she.

I'll gladly take you up on your offer to provide the threads you claim exist.

Please be true to your word.

Democrats need to have a practical vision for boosting growth and wages that doesn't involve 50% of the economy going to taxes or raising the deficit by another trillion or hurting businesses.

College education for some privileged people is no guarantee that it surpasses the common sense of many who have never had the opportunity or means of obtaining higher education. Dems will do best to understand and respect the serious issues affecting so many families in the so-caller "red" states and to talk with, rather than down to these constituents. The recent decision by the DNC to encourage candidates to address key local issues, while downplaying ideological themes, is a good positive move.

I agree that an equitable fiscal policy is an essential part of attracting the less-educated white males that were beguiled by Trumpery. The state inevitably redistributes wealth, and far too much is now being diverted into the coffers of the filthy rich as the national debt is being irresponsibly bloated.

The problem is that current proposed income redistribution proposals may hurt economic growth, and we will have the weak growth we saw under Obama. The democratic party needs to be pro-business, pro-growth, and also pro-middle class.
