How are high school students supposed to deal with CRT claims?
No, it isn't. I've been following the matter carefully. A resolution of activists at the NEA put forward a non-binding policy.

I have not the slightest doubt that for some - intelligence is unrecognisable unless presenting in an exquisitely narrow cultural format.

I always understood that Journeymen were traveling to work for varying periods under different Masters, hence the name.

    From Oxford languages
    1. 1.
a worker or sports player who is reliable but not outstanding.
      "a solid journeyman professional"

    2. 2.
      HISTORICAL
a trained worker who is employed by someone else.
      "a journeyman carpenter"

They could ignore it, disdain it, laugh at it, spit on it, or any number of other things. How should high school students deal with being taught the moon is made of green cheese?

That's one school district. It sounds like an epidemic.

Hold on--you said CRT is being taught. How are high school students being expected to deal with CRT competing claims? Are you alleging teachers are choosing between those claims and only presenting some to students?

Out of curiosity, did you expect to survey every elementary and secondary school in every school district in the country to answer your question? I gave you one example, and, like lightening strikes, one is sufficient.

Students should never be expected to deal with CRT and competing claims because they should never hear about CRT from any teacher (with of course the exception of the teacher trying to indoctrinate marxism and revolution.) At best it night be mentioned with humor in passing like a physics teacher telling his class that some think the moon is made of green cheese, in which case they would be expected to laugh and snicker and throw it in their mind's waste bin. (This does not apply to rational competing claims like evolution and intelligent design, or capitalism vs. socialism.)

BTW, I too was a (substitute) high school teacher for about 15 years. As an aside, substitute teaching has its advantages because you can explain the truth and beg forgiveness because you didn't know any better.

You're the one acting hysterically and making claims about CRT without know what it even is. I would've though that you'd have more examples in light of that.

Unity is a plural term. I was a conservative long enough to know that too few want unity with the left. I agree with much of what you say about Biden, yet even if his unity efforts were genuine it would fail due to the lack of a shared desire for unity on the right. The left and the right have been lost to the partisans. The few moderates have little power.

Not according to the district, but it is according to VA rightwingers ginning up a conflict. As I've said, there is plenty wrong with public schools, but teaching CRT is not on the list. Why not? Because they don't "teach" (or study) CRT.

The essential argument advanced by CRT that anyone might care about is that white people today have laws specifically designed to discriminate against blacks because they're black. There are laws disadvantaging blacks, but the question turns on intent.

For example, many blacks because of past discrimination have difficulty establishing clear title to their property. That results in them having difficulty getting government help financing their home. Would the system do that to anyone who can't establish clear title? Do blacks happen to find themselves in that position more often because of the past? Is there any evidence whites are going out of their way to disadvantage blacks?

The problem some blacks have getting a mortgage is not prima facie evidence of racial discrimination.

Agreed. I am so sick of this being cited against Trump. There are certainly many things the man said that can be justly criticized, but this isn't one of them. There were people there protesting against the removal of the statues because of their view that the statues represent history and art and disagreed that they should be removed just because some of society's values have changed. Many felt that you do not learn the lessons of history by removing it from your sight. And these people are not and were not Nazis or bigots, and they are who Trump was referring to.

I can imagine if I was back teaching high school history students would ask me about CRT. I would present them with the same example.
Then you know why I support school vouchers.

Well said, but to clarify, marxists (under whatever name) have to destroy the past and heritage, not bring things up to current values.

I agree that all students' questions should be answered.
