You have it backwards. Liberals are the ones that have zero tolerance towards other political views. The proof is easy. Whenever a conservative tries to speak on a college campus there are riots. Liberal professors who hate America are all over college campuses and are never fired or disciplined.

 

Correction: some progressives are challenged by the concept of freedom of speech, not liberals. As for conservatives' appreciation of freedom of speech, just try to be a liberal in a conservative-dominated media environment, like talk radio or FOX news. You'll be talked over just like a conservative can be on campus - not sometime, but every time.

Anyway, campus-controversies don't pose any threat to civil liberty that is comparable to the rank abuse of the rule of law by the Republican party. It's not liberals who are trying to torch public faith in the only institution that keeps us from another Civil War - the vote!

I'm a liberal, and I absolutely believe conservatives should be listened to respectfully, and responded to with facts and logic. We should all be open to hearing ideas and criticism from all sides. I forget how tolerant the Right is towards women having the right to choose. And how tolerant the Right was to gays in regards to having the right to legally marry. And of course how tolerant the Right is toward people who believe in climate change.
The point being that it’s beyond absurd to claim only one side is not tolerant towards other political views. BOTH sides has its fair share of intolerant a holes.

 

The only way to prevent a repeat and escalation of this is to prosecute the participants. If no one goes to jail, all future elections will be decided by who can cheat the most.

The participants in the fake Trump law suits? Jailing seems a bit harsh for that, even though they are trying to steal the election. perhaps some of the people who faked up affidavits or lied on them could be jailed. Again, a bit harsh for me, but trying to steal an election is a serious thing.

If you are referring to the unproven allegations of fraud, courts in multiple states have been throwing out those unproven allegations at a furious rate. If you want to jail people for cheating you will first need to actually find cheating. Then prove it in court. Thus far neither if these fairly straightforward conditions has been met.

Yes, let's do prosecute, starting with Trump, his children, his so-called legal team including Rudy, and everyone who has been trying to make up voter fraud cases out of thin air. Let's prosecute those who have been offering money for any evidence of voter fraud, like Dan Patrick, Lt. Gov of Texas.

As for the tiny fraction of votes that were possibly or even definitely fraud attempts: yeah, them too.

I can't see how offering money for evidense could be illegal- its common practice in kidnappings and murders. But ya, the rest of it will become a regular occurance if left unprosecuted, on both sides of the issue.

No expectation of the final vote count was ever expressed by dems. The only thing we expected was to win, and we did.

There is no voter fraud, nor has there ever been (at least as long as I've been alive, since 1951) insofar as 'massive cheating' by one party, and there will ALWAYS be irregularities of one kind or another. You can't do 150,000,000 ballots and not have irregularities crop up.

 

Dems mailed ballots to registered voters. Many didn't mail them until they opted in. CA is based on an opt in system.

The only 'shadow' being cast is the one being cast by Trump, in order to destroy public confidence in Democracy, and he has succeeded in the minds of his flock, on that point.

When you say 'many' you are referring to Trump followers, most of whose minds have been poisoned by Trump.

 

All elections have irregularities. YOu can't do 150,000,000 ballots without irregularities cropping up. **** happens.


The only time these irregularities have ever become an issue is with Trump, who is trying desperately to cast doubt on Democracy.

I've been voting since the 70s, and I do not recall any candidates poisoning the landscape as Trump has done in this election.

With Trump gone, these issues will fade and things will gradually return to normal.
