    If by "he" you are referring to the OLD story of Scott Peterson, I believe the fetus was 8 months and viable, hence he was charged in it's death.

    That's why abortions are illegal after 23 weeks.

    They do not meet the current legal definition of murder. So you may claim both if you like....you can call anything murder if you want....but you are not factually correct

    Stupid people make stupid laws. Just because Hitler legislated that Jews were subhuman - does not prove that Jews are subhuman.

    Then there is the glaring idiocy that the UVVA directly contradicts other legislation. Dumb and dumber on steroids.

    What is further affront to the integrity of this Judicial clown show is that although the Bush Clowns that rammed through this legislation are gone - no one has bothered to repeal it. ... not politically expedient I suppose.

    Sorry for the Acronym "Unborn Victims of Violence Act"

    Correct - perhaps the charge for the violent act (if it can be shown that the fellow knew the woman was pregnant) could be upped on the basis of the aggravated nature of the crime "Attacking a Pregnant Woman" - but, not on the basis of the nonsense term "unborn life".

    I don't believe there should be any laws on abortion.

    It's a medical procedure.


    However if a person kills a woman's fetus (without her consent) they should have additional charges since they , like Anti-Choicers, took away her right to choose to gestate or not.

    That is an aggravating factor - yes. (keeping in mind that "intent" is required - that the violent offender must be aware that she is pregnant)

    I have no idea, I'm not a lawyer ...gee, gosh, maybe you could look that up all by yourselfie on the google .com machine.....and then maybe tell me why it would matter....but I don't really care, it is so far removed from the fact that women have a right to their own body that is irrelevant.
