You are at an Oceanside resort and no Tsunami siren or warning of any kind was given.Off in the near distance you notice a long huge whitish wave getting bigger as it closes-in on the beachhead. What do you do.You have seen this spectacle on videos and know it as a Tsunami.Meaning in mere minutes this spectacle will bear down like nothing you have ever witnessed personally. Unlike a tornado where you can spot it and steer clear.Or a Hurricane where there are days of warnings and precautions. No such luck now. What do you do ?
Does not compute. Not even those in the animal Kingdom act { think/react } in those terms. Why would a human. Maybe some Martyr might. But there aren't enough Martyr around to field a decent bridge game.
I would handle it like I do most things such as a traffic jam forming.I would automatically go into react mode.I would think real quick as to how to avoid that traffic jam.Is there an exit real close or could I manage to turn around.Classic case of a Type B personality. They can't standing waiting in line or big crowds. My Father was the exact same way. With a Tsunami there aren't many options but to run like Hell, praying to God Almighty for help and guidance and look for the highest spot visible.Maybe a rooftop. Of course I'd also keep looking back as did In the Bible story about the woman { Lot } who was instructed by an Angel " look not behind thee " however she did and as Fire & Brimstone destroyed the cities of Sodom & Gomorrah she was turned into a pillar of salt. Unlike this Dr.Christine Ford who was considered a pillar of Society for making a sexual allegation about some apparent " choir boy ".
Go to a higher ground immediately. Even the flattest city has some UPLAND. My city is pretty flat and on some places even minus the sea level. But we have a TV tower. Every city has TV towers, and cell towers. And these, are always positioned ALOFT. Most of the CROCKS will be too panicked so not many will know where to go. Use that advantage. People will not get in your way. Now git. And it's good to always have a bug-out bag in ye car, in case something happens and you're not home.
Spend the time pondering how slow the Tsunami looks in Deep Impact given it's meant to be travelling at 1000 miles an hour lol, then die. I actually have Die on my bucket list, it's best to keep things achievable.
Or in the case of my mate after 10 beers! Once he literally crapped in the bed with his GF and whilst he was cleaning himself up she rolled into it. To this day she believes she did it and they've been married a decade now. He was wise not to pick me as best man
Tsunami are fast but not that fast { 1000 miles an hour ??? }. They say ... if caught in the wake of a Tsunami just let it carry you and try to grab onto some floating object.I dunno.I guess. Maybe it you see a Tsunami put in Ocean one should quickly try and find something that floats and carry it as you run like hell. And high water.
