You couldn't get more flagrant than Trump's. I mean, they're basically public. The crimes are flagrant and obvious. He has put them in writing, announced them on TV and on twitter. The investigation simply irons out the details.

That makes total sense - unless the nature of the crime, or abuse of office involves trying to compromise the integrity of the election we are waiting for. Mueller tried real hard to give him some subtle hints that this stuff is a no no. Trump did not take a hint .

You need a reasonable suspicion that a crime may have taken place. That's all a cop has when he get an anonymous tip that a fraud, a theft, a case of arson or even a battery may have happened. Then you snoop around take interviews, listen to word on the street, and gather together some facts and evidence, and start to build.

Wow. We investigate aggravated murder. We investigate treason. We investigate terrorism. We investigate fraud, kiddie porn, drug smuggling, child abuse.

Dying to see you list of crimes that are so serious nobody needs to investigate them. Please, oh please give me that list.

Yes. There are a hundred crimes this man could have committed and I would have said let the voters decide, but once again, his Modus Operandi involves either personal enrichment,( on even that we could wait) or illegally facilitating his own election chances with foreign governments. How the hell do we tell voters to trust the results of a process Donald Trump is actively seeking to influence by breaking the law. In essense the entire Mueller report was a warning to him and to the rest of us that he is not to be trusted when his election is at stake. He is not heeding the warning.

Exactly. It’s almost impossible to consider an issue more worthy of investigation. Trump’s actions literally threaten the very concept of free and clear elections. How can any future president or elected official claim they have a mandate to govern if we can no longer trust the process of electing them.
I said it before, the senate may not vote to remove, but I want his deeds exposed and a list of the senators who don’t give a damn.

But if there was no fraud you can't make there have been fraud. No matter how much you investigate.

If you're talking about abusing power I'm astounded at the links that you would go through to supersede democracy.

You do not know if there is or is not a crime like 'fraud', until you investigate to see if one is there or not. If there is no fraud discovered, then you end the investigation without an indictment. But that does not mean that the investigation was wrong, it means that the investigation showed that there was not sufficient evidence. That conclusion also of benefit and worth the time and resources. Just because an investigation comes up empty, does not mean that it was not an investigation worth doing. .

WTF? If you've never met someone, you can't tell if they have any respect for the rule of law an if they hate America? You didn't act that way with Obama.

You have to have reasonable suspicion to justify investigation.

    This investigation was not justified.

Democrats to be prosecuted for malicious use investigative powers

    Robert E Allen said:
How about putting Clinton in jail for fabricating this whole mess.

These people need to be arrested for what they did.

    Hitlary Klingon
    Mr Steele
Everyone who worked for Fusion GPS
Everyone working for the DNC and
    The Klingon Foundation
The top 10% of the FBI

There can be no obstruction of justice when an investigation is unjust.

Trump lies constantly and that doesn't seem to bother you but Clinton lied about a BJ 20+ years ago and you think the wheels are coming off the bus. Get a grip.
That other people/organizations are innocent with no proof of being guilty of anything but you put your self as judge and jury.

First, post 54 is MY post stating that the President's letter to Pelosi is nothing more than a joke.
How can the people responsible for making the rules abuse them?

No, it was not under that umbrella. At that point there were already six investigations under way. So, you're wrong there
Haven't voted because they don't have to
    Not trying to hide anything
    Trying to protect democracy
Not abusing anything but the rights feelings.

Any more questions I can help you with?

They are interviewing witnesses and those interviews are neither secret or seditious. Every hearing
has members of both parties present and the minority party is allowed equal time to interview the witness. When as much evidence as possible is gathered via these hearings, it will be presented to a Commitee and the decision on whether or not to proceed with articles of impeachment will be voted on by the House of Representatives. That’s how it works.

How in hell do you 'know' the crime has been committed if you don't have your hands on the evidence and documents that shows the crime has been committed? How do you 'know' where to look for those documents, without learning from reliable sources that you talk to during the investigation, where those documents are? How do you 'know' the crime has been committed if you have done no interviews with people who will tell you that the crime has been committed or that they saw pieces of behavior that suggest an element of the crime was meant? How do you 'know' that those who tell you the crime has been committed, have the first hand knowledge or know who has the first hand knowledge on which to base that conclusion, unless you investigate the circumstances under which your source tells you he knows what he claims to know, and ask questions that lead to those conclusion in an investigation?

Focus here. You said that there was such a thing as crimes so serious that there is no need for an investigation, and that impeachment charges will not need to be investigated if we only impeached for those. I want to know which criminal charges do not require any investigation because they are so 'serious' that none is nessisary.

Here is an onjective look at the situation.

    1. There is a cop who doesn't like you.
    2. Your neighbor tells the cop you're a bad driver.
    3. So they investigate you for months
    4. They write you a speeding ticket..

    Nope don't work that way...

    1. Cop sees you speeding, THAT'S THE INVESTIGATION.
2 he pulls you over and gives you a ticket.

You don't start an investigation by looking for a crime. You investigate because you find a crime. What the house is doing is looking for a crime..
    That's not investigating that's fishing..

First there has to be a crime... then you find out who did it...

Investigating is not the process of looking for a crime.. it's proving who committed a crime that you know took place..
