Well if we knew all of that, then why did we go there to begin with? That was pretty stupid don't you think? So, we knew there was a bigger holy war in the foreseeable future, and in the meantime, lets pretend they have WMD's, and we'll just go over there and make sure the oil is flowing, and the military contracts are updated. Sound about right?

If we bombed Mecca because of a terrorist attack it would make us exactly like them.

No, they should have been left alone. But we smelled a profit, and the rest is history.

no that is not the only underlying problem. you can pretend all you want but im all set with taking a trip with you to derpville.
but just for fun what did france do to deserve a terrorist attack?

and the time for pointing fingers is long over so you can stop pretending like it matters.

By pointing fingers we understand where the problem began. The trouble with that is, we have no interest in fixing it. By truly fixing it, profit margins will go down.

Taking out Medina after appropriately warning the inhabitants, as was done with Hiroshima, might actually be an acceptable alternate to a third world war.

After all, it was in Medina that Mohammed wrote the verses that are the problem for non-Muslims when nearby Muslim populations become too large.

When a fruit is rotten, pare away the rot.

IMO David has a good point. Churches that get political about the abortion issue and rouse the rabble should have their tax-free status removed.

Ditto with any Muslim mosques that a terrorist has ever attended.

That's exactly what they did so in many ways Isis are the same as Britain. That's probably why we welcome Muslims in UK and have a thriving Muslim community making our culture more rich, you still mad huh Maybe you care only for albino europeans

Corporations owned by politicians profit from war and imperialism , that's like the first thing you learn when studying other nations

Religion is not rational, and reason probably has little effect on at least half of the human population.

    IMO it is a factor.

I have always felt the religious precepts against homosexuality to be a common-sense folk fix against the spread of HIV.

Additionally, post-legalization-of-gay-marriage-events have convinced me that the only way to keep gay practices otherwise harmful to societal fabric decently private is to not give them legal standing.

Religion is more rational than atheism or paganism by a distance. Western culture is pagan therefore totally irrational

The spread of AIDS in Africa - in many predominantly Christian areas that are rabidly anti-gay - proves your supposition to be suspect.

What - over twenty thousand same sex marriages and less than a dozen "events" - what kind of imagined harm have you
    convinced yourself of?

Of course, we would never have been in Iraq in the first place if they had not first attacked Kuwait.

That's the best admission I have seen yet that the Islamists get off on their jihadists.
