You have never known another home. All your experiences, and all your ability to survive is based upon your identity as an AMERICAN, never mind that sniggling lack.

Now, right wingers are clamoring to have you EXILED. And they have shut down the Government, and stiffed all their employees, to shove you into some other country, who cares which, or whether they want them. I guess the country they shove you is the country of your mother or father, I am not sure which, as some estimate.

And, I guess we shove them out and train weapons on any that might object to having been INVADED by Americans.

So I ask, how would YOU feel, if right wingers wanted to exile millions of you, that have never known any other country? And have shut down the gov, and will not open it, till they can ruin your lives, and who cares, they don't have to?

And the socalled DEAL Trump is offering, is to NOT exile them for three years.

After they were safe under the ADHOC Obama fix.

Seems to me, if their lives are ruined, and they know NO OTHER way, they will be capitalized upon, and their anger will be used to start a latin ISIS.

Which of course would result in a war of some sort, along the Mexican border. With rockets or god knows what.

THAT is what screwed refugees do.

Democrats want them to wake up tomorrow, and do just what they did the day before. YOU right wingers want to EXILE millions of innocent children.

And, to give them a nice sendoff, and guarantee acceptance, we said they are all rapists and murderers.

I do feel for the DACA kids and something needs to be worked out for their sake. That said, BUILD THE WALL.

How would you feel being a "military brat" ?

You have never known your own country.

Moving from one American base abroad to another.

    Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea.

DACA kids need to expand their horizons and seek opportunities in their motherland. Go home and be free from the shadows!!

And they ought to blame their sorry ass law breaking illegal parents if they don't like the situation.

The open borders Democrats claim that 1/2 of the DACA kids are 25 years old or younger.

They never mention that 1/2 of the DACA kids are over 25 years of age.

1/2 of DACA illegal aliens are not young adults, illegal alienism has no age limit.

It's interesting that you position this to be about "feelings" rather than public policy. "Feelings" doesn't seem to me to be a useful guide to how we conduct immigration policy. But you are not even correct about your premise, "You have never known another home. All your experiences, and all your ability to survive is based upon your identity as an AMERICAN..." That simply isn't true.

    From the Washington Times:

"DACA had no requirement of English fluency, as evidenced by the application form that had a space to list the translator used to complete the form. The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that “perhaps 24 percent of the DACA-eligible population fall into the functionally illiterate category and another 46 percent have only ‘basic’ English ability.

Unfortunately, many Dreamers are poorly educated. Only 49 percent of DACA beneficiaries have a high school education, even though a majority are now adults. And while military service could also qualify an illegal alien for DACA, out of the current 690,000 DACA beneficiaries, only 900 are serving in the military."

their parents made decisions, mostly bad ones, for them. they need to ask their parents "did you know this mom?, dad?"

re-unite them with their parents, back on their side of the border... sympathy is a disease of the weak...

I look at it this way. If I were an illegal who had been brought to this country by my parents, and I really wanted to become a resident/citizen of the US, I'd be working my A$$ off trying to find a legal way for me to do so. Just like everyone else that wants to be here from a foreign nation. I wouldn't expect any privilege because I traveled here as a child. That dog doesn't hunt.

I spent many years while I was growing up being a foreign national in a foreign nation. If there had been one nation that I felt strongly enough to having transferred my national allegiance, I would have investigated how that might have been accomplished. To a nation, those I lived in required highly regulated visa management and restrictions, and to a nation, they all made if very clear that they weren't interested in nationalizing a foreign citizen from the US, or anywhere else for that matter. Not the Japanese, Not the Germans, Not the French. Not even the Enlgish (we were never part of the common wealth you know...)

The US remains the nation that most nations won't take as citizens because they fear our ability to compete. Now, if you're retired..... that annuity hunts... but if you're 24/25, you're far to dangerous to national employment in those nations to allow you to become citizens of their nations. I always laugh at Canadians who deem it necessary to lecture us in the US about how stingy we are, and yet, I can't tell you just how difficult it is to even get a residency visa for a US worker to do work there.

I would be sad. I also would want to know why my parents chose to break the law in coming to America. Then I would work towards emigrating legally back to America.

    sympathy is a wasted emotion.

Empathy is being able to being able to put oneself into the other persons' shoes.

If they are not here legally and have not taken the steps to become legal, then they need to get their arse's out of this country and go back to where they are legally from.

The US Congress is about ready to give DACA work permits, driver licences and protection from deportation on a permanent basis.

Even without citizenship...that is a sweet deal.

Which just proves what I've said all along, Rightists are snowflakes who want America to be their safe space, protecting their delicate sensibilities from superior foreigners who can work rings about them. They want to do this at our expense, denying us the benefits of workers who give a day's work for a day's pay while their overprivileged and underskilled/educated butts demand premium prices for shoddy products which ruin America's reputation for quality and price daily, acting as if efficiency and innovation are now unpatriotic. The Founding Fathers would horsewhip most rightists in the street for even daring to suggest that we turn away people who want to help make us more prosperous and powerful among nations
